We are the Art 10 classes of Aden Bowman Collegiate and we were involved in an exciting project this semester. Professional comic book artist, Nathen Wahl, came into our classes to guide us through the process of designing our own comic. With Nathen’s guidance we did storyboarding exercises and character development; we worked on creating dynamic facial expressions as well as poses for our characters; we practiced crosshatching and shading using lots of different techniques; we also learned about different points of view, about gutters and even comic lettering. The comic you are holding in your hands is what happened when we put all of the above learning into practice. We hope you enjoy it!
