Power and Prestige Children’s Gallery February 3 – May 14, 2017 Opening Reception for Teachers and Families February 4, 10:00 a.m. – Noon Designed to complement the temporary exhibition Power and Prestige: Headdresses of the American Plains, the Museum offers a fun activity space including a mapping journey, a story station reading area, make-and-take activity areas, and continuous programming to engage children. Teachers and their families are invited to enjoy refreshments while being among the first to experience the new Children’s Gallery exhibition. Pick up curriculum resources, schedule field trips, and learn about stipends for bus transportation and reduced or free admission. Power and Prestige: Headdresses of the American Plains and related programs made possible, in part, by grants from Bank of America, and from the Oklahoma Humanities Council (OHC) and the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH), and Ann S. The Museum is recruiting for its Western Explorers Summer Camp. Instructors will develop lesson plans and activities for the sessions and prepare supplies.
