DAYS 1–4 I LIMA, PERU/CUSCO/SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCA Arrive in Lima, and enjoy a musical presentation during a welcome lunch at Casa Aliaga. View the world’s largest private collection of preColumbian art at the Larco Museum. Travel to the Sacred Valley of the Inca the next day and explore the agricultural terraces of Moray. Then browse the colorful market in Urubamba. Spend a day exploring the valley’s Inca sites with archaeologist and National Geographic Explorer Peter Frost.* We’ll also meet National Geographic Explorer Nilda Callañaupa Alvarez, who has helped preserve the art of traditional Inca textile-making. DAY 5 I MACHU PICCHU Ride the train to magnificent Machu Picchu and discover the iconic sanctuary with our guides. Then check in to our incredible lodge adjacent to the ruins and watch twilight descend on the site after the crowds have disappeared. Belmond Sanctuary Lodge | Meals: 1B, 1L, 1D

DAYS 6–7 I MACHU PICCHU/CUSCO Hike to the Sun Gate and watch day break over Machu Picchu. Board the train to Ollantaytambo, then continue to Cusco. Enjoy a special dinner with local opera singers. Delve into the legacy of the Inca and the Spanish conquest during a full-day city tour, including the 15th-century Sacsayhuamán fortress. Belmond Monasterio Hotel | Meals: 2B, 2L, 1D

DAY 8 I LIMA After breakfast, fly back to Lima to connect with flights home. Meals: 1B
