DAYS 1–5 I U.S./HO CHI MINH CITY (SAIGON), VIETNAM/CON DAO NATIONAL PARK Fly overnight to Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon). Trace the city’s tumultuous history on a tour of the former American Embassy, Reunification Palace, and the Saigon Central Post Office. Visit the Vietnam History Museum, and see the Jade Emperor and Giac Lam pagodas. Embark the ship and head for the lush islands of Côn Đào National Park. Park Hyatt Saigon (or similar); National Geographic Resolution through Day 13 | Meals: 3B, 3L, 4D

DAYS 6–9 I MALAYSIAN BORNEO/ BUNAKEN MARINE RESERVE, INDONESIA On Borneo, go hiking in the dense jungles of Kinabalu National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, watching for rare plants and some 250 bird species. At the Sepilok Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre, observe orphaned orangutans and learn about efforts to protect them. Then see rescued sun bears at the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre. Sail to Bunaken National Park, a thriving marine park at the heart of the Coral Triangle. Go snorkeling or diving, and spot sea turtles while kayaking through the mangroves. Meals: 4B, 4L, 4D

DAYS 10–14 I AT SEA/PALAU/U.S. Take advantage of the ship’s amenities as we sail through the Coral Triangle to Palau. Here, see the vestiges of a fierce World War II battle on Peleliu Island, or head to the Rock Islands for a swim among thousands of stingless jellyfish. Dive and snorkel the archipelago’s abundant reefs, named some of the healthiest on Earth by National Geographic’s Pristine Seas Project. Disembark in Kotor before early morning flights home.
