DAYS 1–2 I OSLO, NORWAY Explore Oslo’s highlights, including Vigeland Park and the Viking Ship Museum. At the Kon-Tiki Museum, meet with a family member or biographer of Thor Heyerdahl and learn about the family’s seafaring adventures, chronicled in the pages of National Geographic magazine. Visit the picturesque village of Undredal, and cruise spectacular Aurlandsfjorden, Nærøyfjorden, and Geirangerfjorden. DAYS 7–8 I TRONDHEIM Transfer to Åndalsnes and ride on the scenic Rauma Railway. Cross the historic Kylling Bridge and marvel at the 3,300-foot Trollveggen, Europe’s tallest vertical rock face. Patrick Hunt Archaeologist Patrick Hunt served as director of the Stanford Alpine Archaeology Project and has conducted fieldwork in the Alps with support from National Geographic. He is a national lecturer for the Archaeological Institute of America, and a fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and the Explorers Club. He has authored 21 books, including the bestseller Ten Discoveries That Rewrote History.
