DAYS 1–3 I HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM/ MEKONG DELTA Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and discover traces of the city’s French colonial period at the Opera House, Hôtel de Ville, and the Central Post Office; then visit the Reunification Palace, the former presidential residence of South Vietnam. Spend a day in the Mekong Delta, cruising into the countryside and exploring by bicycle or tuk-tuk. In Ha Long Bay, board a traditional-style junk boat for an overnight sail among magnificent limestone islands and floating villages. DAYS 7–10 I HA LONG BAY/SIEM REAP, CAMBODIA/ANGKOR Enjoy a final morning in Ha Long Bay, then disembark and fly to Siem Reap. Spend two days exploring Angkor Archaeological Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site spanning nearly 500 acres and once home to several capitals of the Khmer Empire. Discover tree root-shrouded temples and impressive walled cities, and join a Khmer scholar for a private tour of the renowned Angkor Wat.
