DAYS 1–3 I DELHI, INDIA/JAIPUR Arrive in Delhi and set out on a guided tour of Old and New Delhi, including Humayun's Tomb and a museum honoring Mahatma Gandhi. Travel to the "pink city" of Jaipur, and visit the stunning Hawa Mahal, or Palace of the Winds. The Taj Mahal Hotel; Jai Mahal Palace Meals: 2B, 2L, 2D DAYS 4–8 I PALACE ON WHEELS Explore Jaipur, from the Amber Fort and City Palace to the Jantar Mantar observatory. Then settle into your cabin aboard the Palace on Wheels. Over the next four days, track elusive tigers and other wildlife in Ranthambore National Park and visit Chittauragarh Fort. In Udaipur, admire the architecture of the City Palace and enjoy a cruise on Lake Pichola. Continue to Jaisalmer, where we’ll see elaborate havelis and ride camels in the Thar Desert before dinner and a folk performance. Then venture into the blue-hued old city of Jodhpur and visit the 15th-century Mehrangarh Fort. Palace on Wheels | Meals: 5B, 5L, 5D

DAYS 9–11 I KEOLADEO GHANA NATIONAL PARK/AGRA/DELHI Disembark in Bharatpur and spot wildlife in Keoladeo Ghana National Park. After a cooking demonstration, stroll through Bharatpur village. Travel to Agra and visit the fabled Taj Mahal at sunset and sunrise. Explore Agra Fort and stop at a marble inlay workshop before a final sunset visit to the Taj Mahal. Arati Kumar-Rao Photographer, Writer Arati Kumar-Rao is a National Geographic Explorer, environmental photographer, writer, and artist who chronicles South Asia’s changing landscapes and climate, and their effect on livelihoods and biodiversity. Arati has worked extensively in the deserts of Rajasthan, documenting the landscape, biodiversity, and the pastoralist way of life that includes a unique method of rainwater harvesting.
