DAYS 1–5 I U.S./FRENCH POLYNESIA Fly overnight to Papeete, Tahiti. After an island tour, embark the ship. Snorkel, swim, and kayak on beautiful Tahaa, then head to Raiatea to visit Taputapuatea marae, an important ceremonial site for Polynesian seafarers. Relax on board during a day at sea. National Geographic Orion for the entire voyage | Meals: 3B, 4L, 4D DAYS 6–10 I AITUTAKI, COOK ISLANDS/ SAMOA Enter the spectacular lagoon at Aitutaki and be greeted with a traditional Polynesian welcome. Swim and snorkel the lagoon and explore the island and its idyllic beaches. Or meet islanders on a drive to villages and sacred sites in the interior. Spend two days at sea enjoying expert talks and activities on board. Arrive in Samoa and hike through lush rainforests, take a dip in a swimming hole, and go snorkeling or diving. Meals: 5B, 5L, 5D

DAYS 11–16 I WALLIS AND FUTUNA/ FIJI/U.S. Witness a welcome dance in the French territory of Wallis and Futuna. On Wallis, visit the crater lake, Lalolalo, and a cathedral built out of hand-cut blue volcanic stone. See historic sites on Futuna, and watch a warrior dance performance. Continue to Fiji and anchor at Taveuni, the “garden island.” Enjoy a warm welcome at the village of Waitabu, complete with locally made foods and a dance by the village children. Explore the waterfalls of Bouma National Heritage Park, and dive nearby reefs. Disembark in Lautoka and tour western Viti Levu before your flight home. Meals: 6B, 6L, 5D
