DAYS 1–2 I SANTIAGO, CHILE/VALPARAÍSO/ CASABLANCA VALLEY Set out on a private tour of Santiago, Chile’s capital. Discover colorful Valparaíso on a day trip along the coast, then sample local vintages in the Casablanca Valley wine region. The Ritz-Carlton, Santiago | Meals: 1B, 1L

DAYS 3–6 I EASTER ISLAND/SANTIAGO Fly to Easter Island, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its colossal moai statues. Spend several days exploring on a variety of excursions. Venture to the volcanic quarry where the statues originated, and walk along the path the ancient Rapa Nui people took to transport the stone behemoths. Visit Mahatua Ovahe, where 15 restored moai stand sentinel with their backs to the ocean; then join an excursion to Ahu Akivi, where the moai are situated inland, facing the sea. Step into a lava cave to see the only statue with its white coral eyes still in place. Return to Santiago and spend a night at a hotel near the airport. DAYS 7–10 I ATACAMA DESERT Travel to the Atacama Desert and settle into our hotel. Choose from several guided activities over the next three days. Visit shimmering salt flats dotted with pink flamingos, and meet a local artisan family in the charming village of Toconao; or explore the wind-sculpted Moon Valley before bathing in a nearby hot spring. Encounter the steaming El Tatio geysers, watch for native wildlife, and discover the desert on horseback or mountain bike. On the final day, fly to Santiago and connect with your flight home.
