DAYS 1–2 | REYKJAVÍK, ICELAND/ GOLDEN CIRCLE

DAYS 3–4 | SNÆFELLSNES

Embark on a thrilling excursion to get up close to Iceland’s second largest glacier, the mighty Langjökull, and descend into a vast lava cave. Spend a day exploring the Snæfellsnes Peninsula. See spectacular Kirkjufell, a lone peak that has been featured in Game of Thrones; then follow the coast to the black-pebble beach at Djúpalónssandur. Hotel Húsafell Meals: 2B, 2L, 2D

DAY 5 | SIGLUFJÖRÐUR

Journey to Iceland’s northern reaches, stopping at a picturesque waterfall. Visit Borgarvirki, which may have been used as a Viking fortress, and settle in for the night in the seaside town of Siglufjörður. Sigló Hotel | Meals: 1B, 1L

DAYS 6–7 | HRÍSEY/MÝVATN

DAYS 8–10 | MÝVATN/HÚSAVÍK/REYKJAVÍK

Soak in hot springs, then wander through the geothermal terrain of Námaskarð and the lava towers of Dimmuborgir.
