DAYS 1–3 | U.S./BORDEAUX/ROYAN/ LA ROCHELLE, FRANCE
Arrive in Bordeaux on an overnight flight and take a city tour before setting sail in the afternoon. Go ashore at Royan, and travel to Cognac to sample its famous brandy and explore the charming town. Or visit tidal oyster farms, learning how to cultivate and prepare these delicate mollusks. DAYS 4–5 | BRITTANY
Wake up in Saint-Malo and take a walking tour of this fortified city, known for its 15th century privateer history and surrounded by ramparts dating from the 12th century. Visit a local oyster farm or practice your photography skills amid the half-timbered houses and cobblestoned streets of Dinan. Alternatively, explore the iconic abbey-fortress of Mont-Saint-Michel, a UNESCO World Heritage site poised dramatically on a tidal island. Meals: 2B, 2L, 2D
DAYS 6–10 | CHANNEL ISLANDS, ENGLAND/ CORNWALL/WALES/DUBLIN, IRELAND
Discover the unique culture of Jersey and Guernsey. Venture into the Jersey War Tunnels and learn about the German occupation of the island during World War II. Or take cliffside walks and visit botanical gardens. In Penzance on Cornwall’s Land’s End, hear tales of piracy and encounter a flourishing arts scene. Continue to the granite Isles of Scilly to discover their rare, subtropical flora or visit the Tresco Abbey Gardens. From Holyhead, Wales, venture to the castles built by King Edward I or walk the coast path on the island of Anglesea. Disembark in Dublin. Meals: 5B, 4L, 4D
