The National LGBTQ Task Force’s Winter Party Festival is the most diverse LGBTQ festival on earth , attracting an estimated 8,000 visitors to Miami Beach every March from across the U.S. and more than 35 other countries . This iconic fundraiser started as a single event more than 30 years ago: a dance party on the beach to mobilize the community and raise money to fight an anti-gay referendum. In the years since, Winter Party has grown into a weeklong celebration of music, dance, and community. With more than a dozen world-class events , Winter Party has something for everyone.
Nonprofit with Real Impact
Winter Party Festival is an important fundraiser produced to support the mission and work of the National LGBTQ Task Force, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. The Task Force is the nation’s oldest LGBTQ+ organization focused on civil rights and social justice. It mobilizes people and money to build power, take action, and create change to advance full freedom, equality, and justice for all. A significant portion of funds raised at Winter Party Festival will also be donated to the LGBTQ+ Equity Fund, a partnership between The Miami Foundation, Our Fund Foundation, and the Task Force to provide grants to local organizations serving South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community. To date, Winter Party Festival and its sister event, The Task Force Gala, have given back more than $3.8 Million to South Florida’s LGBTQ+ community.
