The annual Creating Change Conference, a hallmark program of the National LGBTQ Task Force, is the largest political leadership and skills-building conference for the LGBTQ+ movement. For over thirty-five years, Creating Change has offered some of the most diverse and impactful political leadership workshops and training opportunities for tens of thousands of LGBTQ+ activists from all over the United States. More than a conference, Creating Change has served as the launching pad for countless national LGBTQ+ organizations and collegial partnerships that have taken root in local communities. Each year, we gather in a new location where we commit to more than just making an appearance. We dedicate a year to fostering relationships, deepening our understanding of the local community, and integrating the unique perspectives of the area into the core of our conference. Agents of Change House Ball
We invite you to cohost an elaborate ballroom event where guests show up in their full glam, stomp the runway, and give face in honor of a tradition dating back to the 1970 where Black and Latinx LGBT community members gave rise to what is known today as the house/ ballroom community.
