CALL FOR VICE-PRESIDENTS & EDITOR 39thNational Selection Conference of EYP Greece
Dear EYP Alumni, dear friends, The European Youth Parliament Greece has the utmost pleasure to open the call for Vice-Presidents and Editors for its 39th National Selection Conference, that will be held in Athens, from 18 until 22 April 2019, under the theme “Youth employment in Europe: ensuring effective infrastructure to provide young people with equal and ample opportunities”. The session’s Head Organisers are Vasilis Farsarotas, Nicolas Moraitis, Kalypso -Sofia Sdrali and Georgios Tangilis. It is expected to gather 120 Delegates from the regions of Attica, Achaia and Boeotia, as well as an international team of 60 Officials. We are looking for 3 non-chairing Vice-Presidents and 1-2 Editor(s) to join our team and help us make this session unforgettable, through their contribution and uniqueness. Before submitting your application we kindly ask you to go through the Concept Booklet for the Leadership and the Chairs’ team. Participation fee for foreign Officials is set to 25 Euros and 35 Euros for Greek Officials. The Vice-Presidents and the Editor(s) will be expected to arrive in Athens no later than 15.00 on Wednesday, 17 April and they will be able to depart after the Closing Ceremony, on 21.00on Monday,23 April. Anyone willing to apply as either a Vice-President or an Editor can submit their application through the Members Platform or - if unable to send it through the Platform - by emailing it at athens.nsc@eypgreece.org, by Wednesday, November 14, 11:59 CET. The Selection Panel for the Vice-Presidents and Editor(s) will consist of the President of the Session, Ilija Jerkovic, the Head-Organising committee, namely Vasilis Farsarotas, Nicolas Moraitis, Kalypso-Sofia Sdrali and Georgios Tangilis and the NC Executive Board President, Mr. Dionysis Patriarcheas (for Vice-Presidents) and the NC Executive Board Member, Mrs. Sofia-Xeni Kathareiou (for Editors).

Questions for Vice-presidents 1. EYP in Athens 2019: What value(s) of EYP have you found most relevant for you personally so far? How do you think it/they would impact your work as Vice President in Athens 2019?* (150 words)
2. You in Athens 2019: How would you describe your ideal performance as a Vice President in Athens 2019 in three words/phrases (feel free to elaborate on each)? What specific tools do you want to develop / use in order to support Chairpersons? In what ways would you like to be supported by the session President?* (350 words)
3. Academic content of Athens 2019: Given that Vice Presidents will be part of writing topics for the session, but also in charge of one topic cluster under the session’s umbrella theme (check Concept Booklet) please answer one of the two possible questions:* (250 words) a. What group of relevant issues within the scope of this theme would you like to see developed into a cluster? b. What topics would you like to see discussed in Athens 2019? Please phrase a topic question and provide short rationale on why it is relevant.
4. Impacting participants of Athens 2019: As Vice President, you will primarily be supporting your buddy group and the other Chairpersons, however you will be joining Head Organisers, President and Editorial Team in creating vision that would impact all the participants of the session. How do you see your role from this perspective and what would be your main focus beyond the role in the Chairs Team?* (200 words)
5. Your timeline before Athens 2019: Chairs Team is expected to start working on the academic content of the session from January 1st 2019 and pre-session preparation will, in different formats and with breaks, last until we meet in Athens. Please briefly elaborate on your personal commitments and workload as well as how you would fit Athens ‘19 in that timeline.*

Impacting participants of Athens 2019: As Editor, you will primarily be supporting Media Team, however you will be joining Head Organisers and the session Board in creating vision that would impact all the participants of the session. How do you see your role from this perspective and what would be your main focus beyond the role in the Media Team?* (200 words)
6. Your timeline before Athens 2019: Editors, together with the Head Organisers and the session Board are expected to contribute to the vision of the Officials Team upon their selection. Furthermore, media team can play a vital role in providing content to engage people before we meet in Athens in April 2019.
