delivery information
Should I have my order delivered? Yes! National Tiles recommends delivery, whether you are tiling your kitchen or installing Hybrid flooring to your whole house, chances are your order will weigh more than your car can safely carry. Tile boxes often weigh more than 30kg each. $99 per pallet sounds expensive, why do you charge this much? Great question, our pallets weigh on average 1.2 tonne, and can weigh up to 2 tonnes. This requires a lot of specialized equipment that is expensive to run. If we were to use Australia Post for our deliveries a 1.2 tonne pallet would cost $1,200! How will my order be delivered? National Tiles will safely pack your order on pallets, wrap the pallets and then deliver them with an all-terrain forklift. What do I need to do before delivery? Before delivery you will need to clear space for your delivery. There needs to be adequate space to place the pallet or pallets, each pallet requires at least 1.2m x 1.2m flat solid ground. The forklifts used require 2.5m wide by 2.5 high clear access from the road to the delivery point.
When will my order be delivered? National Tiles can deliver in stock tiles to Metro areas next day if the order is paid in full prior to midday. We are unable to provide a time for delivery, to keep delivery prices low, we follow the most efficient route for delivery. Do I need to be home for my delivery? No, if you provide us with the location where you would like your delivery placed, we can complete the delivery without you being home. Can I request a call prior to delivery? Definitely! If requested the driver can call prior to your delivery. You will also receive a text message when your order has been loaded on the truck. Will the driver unload the order off the pallet? No. Unfortunately, if our drivers were to hand deliver our orders, they would be at high risk of injury due to repetitive heavy lifting. The cost of delivery would skyrocket. I have received my delivery, but something is wrong, what do I do? National Tiles double checks every order, we also take videos of the pallets being wrapped and being loaded on the truck, also the driver will take photos of the delivered pallets. But occasionally something goes wrong, if you receive broken product or the wrong or incorrect quantity of product is delivered, please take photos straight away and call 1300 733 000. We will work to rectify the situation as soon as possible.
