DESCRIPTION

Grants Primer Grip is a ready to use adhesion promoter primer made from synthetic resin in aqueous dispersion with inert fillers of selected granulometry to ensure the products fluid application. It is a ready to use adhesion promoter on nonporous substrates such as existing tiles or surfaces with organic adhesive residue.

PACKAGING

Available in both 5kg & 10kg containers.

SURFACE PREPARATION

The substrate must be clean, solid, compact, crack free, properly cured, free from rising damp, dust, oil, grease, wax, curing compounds, cement laitance and loose particles. The substrate must be installed in accordance with the relevant standards and manufacturer recommendations. Consult the National Tiles Team for further information.

APPLICATIONS

Apply with a brush or roller onto the substrate. Ensure the product is evenly spread onto the entire surface. Once the primer grip is dry (Approx 1 hour at 23˚C) you can apply a levelling compound or tile adhesive over it.

COVERAGE

Approximately 5m2 / kg depending upon the porosity of the substrate.

PRECAUTIONS

• Do not apply Primer Grip on substrates subject to rising damp

• Do not apply Primer Grip on tiles that have wax or any other contaminants

SHELF LIFE

Grants Primer Grip has a shelf life of 24 months from data of manufacture when stored in the original unopened tub in dry conditions. High temperature and humid conditions may reduce the overall shelf life. It is recommended to store out of direct sunlight and directly off cold floors.
