Vinyl Plank Flooring Warranty

National Tiles warrants that its floor covering shall be free from defects in workmanship and material for a period as below from the date of installation if installed for commercial or any other use.

If any floor coverings are defective in workmanship or material and covered by this Limited Warranty. National Tiles shall, at its sole option, either refunds the purchase price or supply, at its expense, such material as, in National Tiles’ sole judgment, is necessary to replace any defective floor covering. This Limited Warranty does not cover the cost of labor required to replace any flooring.

(i) the floor covering must have been installed and maintained in accordance with National Tiles; instructions in an area for which National Tiles has specified as suitable for use;

(ii) the defect must not have been caused by excessive moisture, extremes of temperature, chemical reaction, corrosion, or from any abuse or abnormal usage;

(iii) any claim must be brought to National Tiles’ attention, in writing, within the stated period; and

(iv) National Tiles must be given the opportunity to inspect the installation and investigate the claim

THE LIMITED WARRANTY SET FORTH HEREIN IS IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE (INCLUDING SLIP RESISTANCE, FIRE RESISTANCE OR ANY OTHER SAFETY FACTORS NOT SET FORTH IN NATIONAL TILES’ SPECIFICATIONS) AND ALL SUCH WARRANTIES ARE HEREBY DISCLAIMED AND EXCLUDED BY NATIONAL TILES. THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION ON THE FACE HEREOF.

The benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to, and not in substitution for, any other rights and remedies given to consumers in relation to the goods under Australian Consumer Law and are subject to the following terms and conditions.

Please note:

• Warranty applies to floors installed in accordance with the relevant National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring Installation Guide.

• Warranty applies to floors maintained as per National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring Maintenance Guide.

• Warranty applies to residential and commercial indoor applications only.

• This warranty is not transferrable and applies to the original purchaser only. The only exception to this is where a builder or developer was the purchaser, in which case the warranty may be transferred to the owner of the residential property within 6 months of purchase of the flooring.

• Warranty applies to new, first quality flooring.

Abrasion Warranty

National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring protective wear layer will not wear through to the decorative layer from household abrasive wear. Scratches, dents, chips and gloss level variation or reduction are not considered abrasive wear.

Structural Warranty

National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring will remain structurally sound and not delaminate for the period of the warranty.

Fade Warranty

National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring will not show noticeable colour change due to fading from indirect/filtered sunlight or household artificial light for the period of the warranty

Stain Warranty

National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring will not show noticeable staining due to spillages for the period of the warranty.

Waterproof Warranty

National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring is waterproof. It will not be aesthetically or structurally affected by exposure to a reasonable amount of water from mopping or household spills. This warranty does not cover excessive or prolonged exposure to water from floods/leaking appliances or pipes where water may build up under the floor causing mold or mildew.

National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring Warranty does not cover:

Damage or performance issues in relation to:

• Improper installation (Please refer to the relevant installation guidelines)

• Exposure to extreme temperatures (Please refer to the National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring Maintenance Guide)

• Exposure to excessive direct sunlight

• Prolonged exposure to excessive water (Please refer to the National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring Maintenance Guide)

• Abuse or improper maintenance (Please refer to the National Tiles Vinyl Plank Flooring Maintenance Guide)

• Repairs, refinishing or reinstallation to the original manufactured product.

• Labour charges or any associated rectification costs.

• Dissatisfaction or damage due to improper installation or maintenance

• Damage caused by fire or burns, intentional abuse, flooding, construction or installation

• Damage caused by vacuum cleaner beater bar, indentations or damage caused by improper rolling loads, caster wheels, chairs or other furniture.

• Without proper floor protectors and cuts from sharp objects

• Surface scratches or scuffing

• Changes in color or sheen from exposure to sunlight or due to use of rubber-backed mats

• Exterior applications

• Minor Shading, color or texture differences between samples or printed color photographs or illustrations and delivered product

• This limited warranty is void if, prior to installation, this flooring is not acclimated to room

Temperature (between 18ºC and 25ºC) at job site between 24 and 48 hours and, if post-installation, such flooring is not continuously marinated at such temperature

What if I have a claim and how do I make a claim?

If your National Tiles Vinyl Floor fails to perform and you are satisfied you have followed the warranty guidelines and associated installation and maintenance guidelines, please contact our Quality Control Dept at QualityControl@nationaltiles.com.au to arrange an onsite inspection.
