It has been brought to our attention by some of our regular customers that there is a bogus company trying to extract funds directly from wedding service providers. The woman, going by the name of Denise Jones, is saying she is from a magazine called National Bride Magazine. She also states that they are attending the National Wedding Show at Earls Court and her listing can be found under ‘National Weddings Magazine’. They are using National Wedding Magazine’s fax number as a land line number and when sending an email have used an old front cover of Cosmopolitan Bride and pasted over the ‘cosmopolitan’ with the word ‘National’ (shown on the left). They are also sending scanned pages of National Weddings Magazine stating that these are pages from their magazine. They then ask for money up front before any work has been carried outand take payment either by bacs or by credit card. Luckily some of our regular customers have not been fooled by these people and haven’t handed over any payment to them but others may have already done so. I have contacted the police and have registered this fraudulent behaviour with the Action Fraud – logged under ref no: NFRC120500355447 & NFRC12088405437. If you encounter a company going by this name or a sales person trying to obtain payment from you prior to any work being undertaken, then please contact myself or go directly to Action Fraud to log a complaint. These people must be stopped as soon as possible.

Grecian Park Hotel
A perfect place to get married National Weddings Magazine’s Alison Ebert and guest visited the stunning Grecian Park Hotel in Cyprus earlier this year. They were keen to see what the hotel offered couples looking for a very special Overseas Wedding Venue.
Situated between Ayia Napa and Protoras, lies the stunning Grecian Park Hotel. The hotel offers everything you need from a Five Star Resort from stunning sea views to beautiful well-proportioned rooms. In fact there are eight choices of rooms, ranging from standard to a fabulous King suite. The Hotel offers a choice of three restaurants. We dined in Cafe Charisma, where we enjoyed the most fabulous breakfasts. The range of food was amazing and included champagne or cava if you want to indulge. I have stayed at many hotels in my time and by far this was certainly the best breakfast I have ever eaten! For Dinner we dined in the beautiful Autaeus Restaurant. Most evenings we ate A La Carte which was everything we could have asked

for, however they also offer three buffet themed evenings with entertainment. The food here was of an exceptionally high standard and our every need was catered for including being informed by the Matre-D each evening on which foods had nuts in. I cannot praise him enough. The staff were fabulous, always pleasant and happy to help. The Umi Japanse & Sushi bar, located on the fourth oor garden terrace is one of the top Japanese & Sushi Bar restaurants on the island and offers the most romantic setting! We had drinks in both of the bars, the Cliff bar and the Xasteria bar. The Cliff bar was amazing, we sat sipping a cool glass of wine whilst watching the sun setting over the Mediterranean sea. This bar is simply
stunning and an amazing place to sit and unwind amongst fabulous soft furnishings and lush plants and foliage.
I feel that The Grecian Park hotel offers everything a couple could possibly want from an overseas wedding venue. There is a choice of two ceremonies per day, either at 14.00 hrs or 17.00 hrs. There were three wedding ceremonies being held whilst we were at the hotel, all of which were held on the Panoramic Deck (civil weddings outdoor). In my opinion, it makes the perfect place in which to say “I DO”. The tranquility of the deck area, surrounded by lush plantation, with views over the Mediterranean sea and the Cyprus sun shining down on the bride and groom and guests alike, made for such a romantic setting in which to get married. One of the couples getting married whilst we were at the hotel were Mr & Mrs Fenn,
(Dave & Louisa). They enjoyed drinks in the Cliff bar after their ceremony and then enjoyed their Wedding Breakfast in the Sea View Marquee which looked absolutely stunning. The Bride and Groom and the bridal party then partied into the evening in the surrounding lush tropical gardens. This hotel truly is a wonderful place in which to marry. In my opinion The Grecian Park Hotel offers couples the chance to make their dream of a real wedding in paradise come true. The real beauty of this island is that after your paradise wedding is complete you’ll be able to enjoy your honeymoon on Aphrodites Island to celebrate the beginning of your new lives together as one.

I was born in Fulham, London and moved ‘up North’ to St Helens when I was a little girl. It was through watching documentaries with my parents that my desire to be a Camerawoman grew. I went to Salford University to study for a Post Graduate Diploma and Masters Degree in Documentary and Features Production. I started out rigging at Sky Sports Events and working as a Runner for Channel 4, the BBC Drama Department and ITV. The best thing about working as a Camerwoman is the people and I'm lucky enough to work with incredibly talented people, who are also people I like spending time with.
I am a proud scouser through and through. I abandoned a dull sales career nearly 30 years ago to unearth creative qualitiies I never thought I posessed. I attended a 35mm photography course at night school and loved it. I took the plunge and bought £1000 pounds worth of VHS kit - a lot of money at the time, got in some practice at weddings. I concentrated on weddings for about 4 years, then got up to speed on commercial filming and editing. Working as a cameraman is great; you are an individual, but also a team player.

I was born and brought up in Manchester where my interest in photography started. When I was young my parents used to take us to art galleries, this interest grew through my studies at school and college and I began to be aware that I very much loved and admired the work of many artists. The variety of people that you get to meet and work with and the travelling around Britain is one of the best things about being a photographer.

Couples say ‘I do’ under the white domed roof with beautiful pillars and arches looking directly out to see. It’s perfect in high summer when temperatures can really heat up, as the venue is shady and cool from the white-washed stone.
