Heart Healing with Cacao at 6th Annual Holistic Health Expo

Kristina Komorowski, self-proclaimed Modern Medicine Woman and certified Holistic Health Coach, will offer ceremonial cacao and other healing services at the 6th Annual Emerald Coast Holistic Health Expo, in Fort Walton Beach, from September 10 to 11.

Stemming from a background of healers, Komorowski began studying herbalism in the early 2000s, and subsequently earned a Holistic Health Coach certification through CHEK Institute. But it was only after an apprenticeship with an Amazonian shaman in Peru—her introduction to cacao—that she fully formed a mission to “bridge the gap between health and modern living.”

Originating from the tropical regions of Central and Southern America, cacao is considered a “superfood,” containing one of the largest sources of Magnesium in nature. It’s also full of antioxidants, contains nutrients like Selenium, Zinc, Calcium, and Copper, plus, cacao triggers three neurotransmitters (serotonin, dopamine and phenylethylamine) that elevate mood and well being, making it a useful tool for remedying symptoms of depression and anxiety.

Training as a Ceremonial Cacao Facilitator since April of 2022, Komorowski says this major component of chocolate has the capability of helping her clients “tap into the frequency of their heart.”

By combining cacao with other modalities like sound therapy, medicinal herbs, breath work and movement, Komorowski says she’s successfully helped her clients alleviate pain and illness. She also accepts donations for her services.
