Reflexology is a relaxing complementary therapy which is based on the theory that different points on the feet, lower leg, hands, face or ears correspond with different areas of the body.

Reflexologists believe that working these points or areas aids relaxation and helps improve well-being for all ages. Although with adults and teenagers the massage can go quite deep, with babies and children the touch is very gentle, but the result can be quite surprising!

Reflexology may help not only with the physical functions but also the emotional changes that take place as we grow.

Because of the nature of the treatment, I will aim to make your child as relaxed and comfortable as possible: it is not intimidating to children and can be made ?fun?by incorporating play into the session e.g. allowing the child to bring along a favourite toy to be ?treated?

Generally, young children take very well to reflexology because it gives them a sense of security and nurturing - this can also help with attachment issues.
