In this branch the Institute of Plant Protection of the CNR has been conducting the experimentation for cypress tree cloning resistant to the fungus called Seiridium cardinale, better known as “cypress cancer”, such as: Bolgheri, Agrimed, Mediterraneo, and Italico of which Giorgio Tesi Group has the worldwide co-exclusive for their production and commercialisation. These varieties are available both at the branch and at the headquarters of Pistoia, from young plants to 10-11 metre older ones.
