Raymarine Promove Passatempo Dragonfly Screen Capture Já está encontrado o vencedor do mês de Abril. Ben Garlick de Queensland na Austrália captou no écran da sua Dragonfly um grupo de tartarugas que passavam debaixo do seu barco e no exato momento que antecedeu a sua subida á superfície.

Ben vai ter como prémio uma capa para o seu equipamento e uma caixa de transporte, para além do reembolso do valor total do seu sistema de sonda.

MASTERVOLT Equipa frota de 8 veleiros da Volvo Ocean Race Os veleiros mais sofisticados do mundo escolhem o equipamento mais fiável do mundo. Os 8 Volvo Ocean 65 que estão a ser construídos para a edição 2014-15 da Regata Volvo Ocean Race vão ser equipados com a última inovação da Mastervolt de baterias, carregadores e sistemas de gestão de energia a bordo.

Desde a sua fundação em 1991, que a Mastervolt, com sede na Holanda, tem estado na vanguarda da tecnlogia, atualmente faz parte do grupo Americano Actuant Corporation e a empresa focalizou a sua produção no sentido de criar e desenvolver os sistemas elétricos mais leves e versáteis existentes no mercado, para estes barcos da alta competição é mesmo isso que é preciso.

Os veleiros que estão a ser terminados na Ocean Marine, no Reino Unido, vão integrar 2 sistemas de baterias de iões de lítio 24/5000. Estes modelos da 2ª geração estão aptos para aguentar ciclos de carga que seriam destrutivos para os sistemas mais convencionas de baterias de ácido e chumbo equivalentes. Com apenas 55 kg cada, temos aqui uma redução de peso em cerca de 80% comparativamente com as de ácido de chumbo 5kWh, diga-se de passagem que

nestes veleiros o fator peso é crucial.

Estas baterias de 24V armazenam uma enorme quantidade de energia dentro duma embalagem relativamente pequena e vão cobrir todas as necessidades energéticas de cada um destes veleiros. Têm ainda a vantagem de poder sofrer descargas até 80% da sua capacidade sem sofrerem danos e carregam em apenas 60 min. Cada barco vai integrar também dois alternadores e reguladores 150ha Alpha Pro vocacionados para carregamentos rápidos com controlo inteligente. Cada veleiro só tem que ligar o motor durante 60 min. por dia para que as baterias sejam completamente carregadas, mas muito importante é que o sistema permite o carregamento por energia solar e outras fontes mais ecológicas.

Toda a conceção dos sistemas Mastervolt é a pensar na compatibilidade dos sistemas, o seu sistema de comunicação MasterBus vai permitir a troca de dados com outros sistemas a bordo dos veleiros que usam o protocolo NMEA2000 como sua espinha dorsal.

Significa que os sistemas de gestão de energia da Mastervolt podem ser exibidos nos ecrãs dos instrumentos instalados a bordo.N

Raymarine Nova série Câmaras Térmicas T200 Torne a Noite em Dia.

As câmaras térmicas de visão noturna tornam a navegação mais segura com imagens claras que o ajudam a ver perigos, como boias, destroços a flutuar, rochas, terra, pontes e outros barcos tanto de noite como de dia. As câmaras térmicas de visão noturna podem ajudá-lo a encontrar uma pessoa na água mais rapidamente que qualquer outra tecnologia de visão noturna. As câmaras térmicas são utilizadas pela Guarda Costeira, Agências Policiais, equipas de Busca e Salvamento e Forças Armadas de todo o mundo. São fáceis de usar e não requerem qualquer formação. As imagens que se obtêm das câmaras térmicas de visão noturna são intuitivas e imediatamente fáceis de entender.

Os sistemas de câmara térmica de visão noturna da série T possuem a tecnologia mais moderna de ligação Ethernet para simplificar a instalação, controlo e ligação com outros sistemas eletrónicos a bordo. A vantagem da nova série T200 é que agora barcos de menores dimensões podem usufruir deste equipamento. Para montagem fixa no topo da cabina, arco de radar ou mastro, estas câmaras são muito leves e compactas com

apenas 7´´ de altura e 5,9’’ de diâmetro. O ângulo e a direção da câmara são determinados no momento da instalação. Não existe necessidade de um controlador separado para a T200 dado que esse controlo é feito a partir do display multifunções com acesso fácil á toda a paleta de cores, branco/preto, zoom digital e funções de configuração.

Disponíveis na resolução de vídeo 320 x 240 e 640 x 480. Com distância focal de 13mm e zoom digital de 2 x e de 25 mm e zoom digital de 4 x respetivamente.

A série T200 é compatível para funcionar num sistema de câmaras alargado com a série T300 ou T400.

MARINCO e BEP NOVA SÉRIE PRO INSTALLER PARA LIGAÇÕES ELÉCTRICAS RÁPIDAS E FLEXÍVEIS COM A MENOR OCUPAÇÃO DE ESPAÇO E DE FÁCIL COMBINAÇÃO

Com os sistemas eléctricos marítimos a tornarem-se cada vez mais complexos e sofisticados, a Marinco e a BEP debruçaram-se sobre esta matéria e resolveram criar uma gama de ligações para tornar todas as composições eléctricas tão rápidas e fáceis quanto possível, maximizando a sua fialbilidade.

O resultado é uma gama designada por “Pro Installer” formada por barramentos, suportes de fusível e terminais isolados, concebidos para uma instalação rápida e com a facilidade de se combinarem num espaço pequeno. Isto foi conseguido graças a uma interligação comum e com a mesma dimensão que permite aos barramentos de ligação, ligar vários produtos Pro Installer – um verdadeiro bonus quando o espaço é apertado.

Outras das características são as tampas em policabornato que protegem em três lados, são fáceis de remover, e dão-nos uma clara visão do estado dos terminais. O encaixe seguro da tampa não interfere com os cabos e existem ainda passagens para os cabos entrarem com flexibilidade. Extremidades arredondadas melhoram o encaminhamento dos cabos e há ainda um rebaixo nas tampas para colocação de etiquetas.

A série Pro Installer foi desenvolvida depois duma ampla consulta aos utilizadores pelo que apresenta muitas das ideias para assegurar a durabilidade e facilidade de atualização dos sistemas. Por exemplo, as bases são feitas a partir dum material à base de fibras para resistirem a altas temperaturas e vibrações enquanto que os conectores são fabricados em aço inox de alta qualidade e os terminais com porcas de latão banhado.

A nova série Pro Installer é composta por quarto produtos principais; Os barramentos resistentes tipo “heavy-duty”, a gama de barramentos “Z”, os suportes de fusível ANL e tipo T e os terminais isolados. ICOM Rádio de VHF IC-M400BB

A designação BB significa Black Box e o rádio de VHF IC-M400BB é uma das mais recentes novidades deste fabricante. A “caixa” pode ser instalada em qualquer lado e sem estar à vista o que não deixa de ser um factor importante tendo em conta que num barco o espaço é sempre limitado. Este rádio fixo de VHF é controlado pelo Commandmic HM-195 que permite operar todas as suas funções incluindo DSC, sirene de nevoeiro, alerta no cockpit ou no flybridge .

O rádio IC-M400BB é formado por 2 unidades numa configuração com “caixa negra” e apresenta na linha inferior do visor do comando de mão, o principal menu de funções que podem ser activadas pressionando os botões imediatamente em baixo .

Com a conhecida função de cancelamento de ruído activo, esta reduz o ruído de fundo até 90% e melhora a qualidade do som transmitido e recebido.

Este rádio tem um amplificador de 10W, que aumenta a saída de audio a qualquer altifalante externo adicional. A função de “Public Address” permite-lhe fazer uma chamada em alta voz a partir do microfone tal como um altifalante e ainda funcionar como sirene de nevoeiro.

ALGUNS ASPECTOS A TER EM CONSIDERAÇÃO 1 - A gama ProSeries é mais vocacionada para os barcos em fibra, cascos de madeira e também alumínio/aço utilizando o casquilho de isolamento Delrin.

2 – Quando aplicadas no painel de popa, um maior número de luzes pequenas é melhor do que menos luzes de maior dimensão, por exemplo 4 x 2010 é preferível a 2 x 3010.

3 – Se colocadas no painel de popa ter em atenção a plataforma de banhos e outros obstáculos que podem bloquear a fase inicial do feixe de luz. Se for o caso use um modelo acima.

4 – Uma combinação de estilos de montagem podem ser usada com a mesma intensidade dado que todas as luzes usam o mesmo LED. Mas não se recomenda a mistura de luzes Amphibians com ProSeries ou Hybrids.

5 – Uma combinação de tamanhos das luzes de metal ProSeries é possível desde que usados os mesmos LEDs, por exemplo 3010 no painel de popa e 2010 a bombordo e a estibordo.

6 – Quando as luzes estão a apontar para baixo, podem refletir num leito de areia criando assim um efeito de espelho e consequentemente maior luminosidade.

7 – A luz azul penetra mais profundamente na água azul do mar mas não resulta bem em águas verde ou castanha. Aqui ficam melhor as luzes verdes.

8 – Todas as cores das luzes são absorvidas nos primeiros 300m. As luzes azuis e verdes são mais brilhantes do que as luzes brancas com um feixe de luz que se expande melhor e mais percetível ao cone do olho.

9 – Todas as luzes da OceanLED são fabricadas com o mesmo nível de padrão de qualidade. Seja da A3 á 3010, o trabalho e atenção ao detalhe é constante e o fabricante dá uma garantia de dois anos sobre defeitos de fabrico.
