I am an independent and experienced Industrial Designer looking for a change of pace and full-time Design role as part of an established team working on exciting and varied projects. I trained in Product Development as an apprentice first, before studying my degree at the University of the West of England (U.W.E). I completed in 2021 during the Covid-19 Lock-down, after which I began work as a freelancer. I am now looking to progress from freelancing into a vibrant role which will give me exposure to different kinds of projects and to further develop my skills as an Industrial Designer.

This project was completed during my time at Techstyle-Europe. Replacing an off-the-shelf bottle, the project aimed to develop a bespoke bottle for the existing Aquabrush product. I was tasked with designing the new bottle as well managing the production of tooling.
With the new bottle, the Aquabrush went on to place as a finalist for product innovation at the Glee International Trade show in 2016.
When in the unlocked position, the bottle can be squeezed to jet cleaning solution.

I was approached by Garland Plastics to work on a new project as a freelancer. There was an emphasis on design for manufacture as well as economical design throughout the project. Similar to the previous project, the production and shipping of tooling was also managed by myself during this project and it was successfully taken to market.

The large draft angle helps to reduce wear on the tool.
This project was undertaken during my degree. The brief specified a new product for a business which sells a service, with a focus on brand analysis and understanding the visual language of a brand.

Anthropometric data was used to define the curve of the body to make the corkscrew ergonomically friendly to a wide range of users.
95th Percentile male grip width
The corkscrew has been designed to be similar kinetically to a fan which was inspired the logo and slogan ‘I am a fan’.
This project was a culmination of my experience as an apprentice and my studies at university. I was tasked with selecting an established business to develop a new product to add to their existing product range.
