Front render approaching the building
The Split The “split challenges the already narrow Sackville site in an attempt to intertwine two rectangular volumes of space. The buildings shape is formed from splitting the site along its width and shifting the two volumes to create an entrance space and also allow light into the basement. The interior volume is divided along the length to allow the intertwining of the programed spaces. The interior also makes use of double height rooms to open the house and create a sense of larger space. The south volume is also lowered to create a terrace for the occupants and also allows light into the north volume. Parti Diagrams
