Living Intentionally Fully and Effectively (L.I.F.E.) Survivors Overcoming Abuse with Resiliency (S.O.A.R.) Group This group is open to active duty, retirees and family members. This is a 10week psycho-educational support group that aims to assist survivors of sexual abuse and violence. SOAR is an educational, rather than processing, group. It is trauma-informed, strengthbased and provides a safe environment to begin the healing process. SOAR strives to enhance resilience through the teaching of skills, such as coping, communication, regaining trust, strengthening intimate relationships and personal empowerment. SOAR has been developed for women ages 18 and older, and is held once a week for two hours.

Residents of NBK Family Housing have demonstrated their understanding of the importance of conserving energy. In the past three years, side-by-side comparisons show residents have decreased their average consumption by approximately 20% per home. The residents’ combined savings is enough to run 1,345 100-watt lightbulbs for more than
2,000 hours each and heat 665 350-degree ovens for 44 hours each. The savings is enough to run a 100-watt lightbulb for more than 4,000 hours and heat a 350-degree oven for 210 hours. Hunt Companies and Navy family housing are proud of our residents for taking the initiative to save energy and demonstrate the importance of conserving.
