Living in a Very Private House

The general needs of the residents are to speak of Scandinavian style houses. Which is the concept and philosophy of living in the Scandinavian style like “Hygge. Therefore the concept of this house was interpreted as simply fit, not too big, and not too small. The house will be suitable for a family of 2 people and 1 dog. Residents have no plans to have future children, so if the space can interact with each other, it will benefit for the relationship. Starting from general activities to more private activities. Each area is tailored to suit individual residents. There is a space that will be used together in order not to exceed too much separation.

Space, Activity and Structure

The project started to ask questions about the configuration method of the building and construction as a result of each function and activity. It is the source of gesture and highlights the characteristics of the structure at various points, which is related to each activity and principal circulation. When considering the structures of the rental office and common area, it indicates that the office for rent is necessary to identify as part of the lease. They must be adjusted to a larger or smaller size. The common areas need to be large and flexible to accommodate people with different activities.

Rental Office

Characteristics of envelopment.

The connection between areas. Both in the horizontal and ventical.

How the structure works with space and activities.

Common Area

Common Area Tree Court

Main Entrance

The zoning of the public section is pushed out towards the front of the site and the rental office will be pushed back instead the common area that every office can use together is in the middle.

Subtract parts of the core to allow ventilation and connection from the front and back of the site.

This shows the approximate connection of the structure in the rental office and the common area, without cutting off the structure in the tree court area to appear the unity and system of the building.

Overview of the building and the external structure, where the open area is the tree court.

Living in a Very Private House

What is the appropriate activity area ?

As the main users of the project are children from 3-6 years old who need special care and monitoring. Thus the building was designed to surround the inner layer indefinitely. Where access to the building will screen the type of insiders and outsiders are separated. With the specific types of teacher and children's activities that according to time and number of classrooms, it is irrational and difficult to control. Because the physical and intellectual conditions of children in the K1 and K3 classes have a relatively large gap between them, it is better if the children in K1 and K2 interact with each other. The children in K2 and K3 interact with each other, but Only the children in K1 and K3 will be able to see each other.

When the desired conditions are met, the next step is to set the schedule according to the conditions of each class.

PARTITIONS OF THE CLASSROOMS

The openings area are managed according to the conditions.

PARTITIONS BETWEEN THE ROOMS

CLASSROOMS

The classroom spaces are based on visual conditions according to the activities of children and teachers.

COMMON AREA

The activities of children will be arranged according to the conditions above. Where the common area will be able to see the classroom in the center at all times for proper surveillance.

GROUND FLOOR

In this area, parents will not be able to enter. It is a gathering point for children in the morning and the evening before parents pick up the kids.

1ST SCREENING

The first area when parents or children come to school, they will pass through the central hall before entering the ground floor.

CARPARK

It is underground area before connecting to the main entrance.

Lively Transitional Spaces

The location is very conducive to people walking on the pavement, and its position on the corner, it is possible to attract people through the site by shortening the walking distance. Cut into the other side of the footpath it has a positive effect on rental shops and makes offices that will be lively only during lunch or time off from the work to maintain a good dynamic. After the flow area on the 1st floor with a shortcut walkway, will slowly flow into areas that do not require much privacy, such as the multi-purpose auditorium, descending to the 1st floor. The exclusive office common area will be re-connected to the auditorium for screening. It can be seen that many types of methods for connecting the area with the inclined plane, grandstand, staircase, and slope are used because of their ingenuity in space flow.

Different types of activity, Different types of envelopment

The project aims to create a space that can promote various areas around the building. The contact of the building area to the public area has been made more accessible. By separating the car aisle and pedestrian in different parts of the traffic The order of access in the areas is finally integrated into the main hall area before the area with the most screening. The semi-outdoor part of the building area is linked to the Benjakitti Park with a similar activity feature. The surface of the building is connected to the escalator section and the semi-outdoor activities section. The escalator leads visitors up to the main hall just before the entrance to the theater. And the connection between the BTS station and the large semi-miraculous staircase which brings visitors to the restaurant and the main hall. Each building elements are divided into activities in different types of encapsulation, which relate to the internal application area. This allows the internal components to be understood by the external vision. Some of the spaces were also exceeded to make enclosures of different shapes to be interconnected through this sharing. For the vitality of the building, the often used part is framed for enclosing enclosed spaces like the theaters. When entering the building in different parts of the building, other parts can be seen to recognize the specific activities in other areas. And to build relationships with each other. The chamber hall access area is used as a large staircase to accommodate a large number of visitors at the same time and to focus on connection.
