HOSPITALITY DESIGN SHANGHAI BUSINESS HOTEL LOCATION Shanghai PROFESSOR Roger A. Ricketts Shanghai Hotel is a five-star hotel and restaurant located in the renowned city of Shanghai, China. The city´s richness in culture and history combined with an endless pursue of perfection has made it become one of the most modern cities in the world. Inspired by intensity, movement and energy, this project aims to be the reflection of the city where it stands.

FRONT DESK As the face of the hotel, the circular arrangement of the front desk invites the customer to self-check-in or be checked-in in a paradise of luxury and comfort. Warm color scheme, bold shapes, backlit marble and a pattern inspired by the chinese culture rising in the central column reminds us of the cultural richness of the location.

Commisioned sculptural artwork rests high on the walls and makes an excellent focal point. The intensity is settled down by the warmth of the furniture finishes and curvy shapes. Strong natural stone flooring posseses unique movement and graining characteristics that adds texture and depth to the space.

PRIVATE SITTING AREA
Placed under the Grand Stair, a comfortable enclosed space awaits for the guest to relax. Intense red lines run throughout the space sharpening the edges of the objects where they are found.

Chinese culinary experience created by award-winning Executive Chef Lau Kam Kai who brings fresh elements and authentic flavors to the modern Ya Zhu Restaurant. The impactful dining area reveals its high-end nature in the materials, details, service and extraordinary food. Services include fine-dining, breakfast buffet and modern Chinese Cuisine. Exclusive social events can be held in the private dining room that will leave the guest with a lasting-impression .

Hand-knotted carpet with a custom pattern defines one of the areas in the heart of the restaurant. An organic design contrasting a rough linear wooden floor creates the perfect distinction between strong and delicate.

GUESTROOM
Edgy, modern, strong color scheme extends throghout the guestroom that offers an enjoyable experience combined with a restful time. Material selection includes silk, colored body porcelain tiles with refined character and pigmented leather from Asian origin with silky finish. Natural wood, resistant to moisture and easy maintenance with finish in a gold tonality.

Delicate design that enhances the resting experience. Stone countertops and flooring, porcelain fixtures and recessed shower tray create a clean view designed to coordinate with the elements of the bedroom.

RETAIL DESIGN PIXIE STUDIO FOR OLD NAVY LOCATION San Francisco PROFESSOR Millie Kwong Pop-up store created for Old Navy Brand that showcases one of Old Navy’s most popular products: the pixie pants.

What is more fun than going shopping for new clothes? How about making your own design in the pants that you already love wearing? Pixie Studio is all about creativity. Come to the store, try the pants, decide which size fits you and start creating. There are several options of fabrics, patterns and color to choose from. Come to the creation stations and build your own pants through the app, place your order and you are ready to go! Prepare yourself to receive your own creation at home. Not feeling creative? No worries. A special edition of pixie pants designed exclusively for this store will be sold while supplies last. COMMERCIAL DESIGN THE EVER-CHANGING OFFICE LOCATION San Francisco PROFFESOR Serena Zanello A jump into the future by imagining how an interior design office would look in five years from now. The design was inspired by nature offering a highly-functional environment through spaces that allow for easy communication, boost the user´s creativity and increase focus.

JUNIOR DESIGNER The Ever-Changing office proposes a layout that will adapt to the space according to the worktype through a custom-design workstation that gives you the freedom to arrange the space as you please. In order to connect this environment, a mix of mobility, accesibility and technology was designed and it will enhance the communication needed for efficiency and well-being of the user.

Movable cubicle that allows the creation of working clusters for teamwork or shifting them apart for a more private option. It gives freedom to the user to move freely from place to place in a previously assigned area of the office.

RESIDENTIAL DESIGN THE GRAY HOUSE LOCATION San Francisco The Grayhouse was created as a final project for 3DSMax Course. The correct placement of materials and lighting was a requirement as well as a photorealistic rendering. The harmony of the design was achieved by a combination of an unsaturated color palette and the natural appearance of the material selection.

Object Modelling, placing of lighting and Materials are main steps in the process of photorealism. After the 3DSMax Rendering, the image was processed with Photoshop to create more contrast and add interest to the scene.

COMMERCIAL DESIGN OLDER NIGHTCLUB LOCATION Mexico State
The ultimate nightlife experience is unveiled in the 2,400 squarefoot nightclub located in Mexico State. Its underground concept was approached with the use of neutral colors, simple forms and linear details. . Considered the best Nightclub Interior Design in its city, Older NightClub presents a combination of elegance and simplicity.

Linear details create volume and slide playfully around the space. A wide variety of ambiances are achieved with MADRIX technology applied to the LED lights stripes that run across the space.

The Holgar Chairs are the opposite solution to the same brief. The curves of one chair contrast directly with the lines of the second one. Their design is integrated by poplar wood natural finish and uphosltered in dark grey suede.
