The Pig with the Wig A story by Nora and Sigrid
Monday Once there was a pig, that could never leave his house without his wig. He was insecure, and didn`t like his natural self.
This Monday he wore a blue wig!
Tuesday The pig was obsessed with wigs, so he had heaps of them. Some were dark, some were light, some long, some short, some curly and some straight.
This Tuesday he wore a green wig!
Wednesday He liked to experiment with different colors and shapes.
This Wednesday he wore a long, red wig!
Thursday The pig didn’t feel comfortable without his wig. His biggest fear was that someone would see him without a wig. He wondered if he every would be brave enough to go somewhere without his wig.
This Thursday he wore a turquoise, braided wig!
Friday He had never told any of his friends about his insecurities. The pig was afraid that they wouldn’t accept him as he was without his wig.
This Friday he wore an orange, spike wig!
Saturday Saturday was washing day, so he hung all his wig outside in the sun to let them dry. What he didn’t know was that a huge storm was on its way.
This Saturday he wore a yellow, wavy wig!
Sunday When he woke up on Sunday morning, he had forgotten to take in his wigs before he went to bed. They were all ruined and soaking wet. Suddenly the doorbell rang, and his friends arrived for a visit. He was so upset that his wigs had been destroyed in the storm, that he rushed to the door to tell them. In the moment he opened the door he realized that he didn’t have his wig on. Surprisingly for him the first thin his friends said was “Wow, you look so nice today�.
As he past the mirror on his way in he realized that he didn’t need a wig to feel good, because he was beautiful just the way he is.
