The Nazareth Trust

The Nazareth Trust is unlike any other Christian Service. Since 1861, Jesus' home town has witnessed the remarkable unfolding of a story of quiet, effective and practical service to anyone in need. Today, this service involves us in medicine, educational projects, volunteering programmes and social enterprises. Each is a testimony of cooperation and coexistence in a land riven by many tensions. Each sees Arab and Jew, Christian, Muslim and Druze drawing together to work side by side. Our campus high on 25 acres of the Nazarene hillside is home to Nazareth's General Hospital, the Nazareth School of Nursing and the 'Nazareth Village'. In the Village, 500 metres from the original centre of Nazareth, Jesus' parables come to vivid life in a rigorously authentic and living representation of rural life in New Testament times. As followers of Jesus of Nazareth, our work is non-political, non-denominational, and genuinely inclusive.
