a storyboard of the movie... could be a very rough sketch.

The night is cut in two by the whistling train. At the platform, Jhumu, a determined woman who is facing a new beginning in her life, encounters a young drug addict Tuhin. At the same time, ex political activist Jubair abducts Anis Ahmed, an estranged father in his own house. Two parallel unfolding stories follow these four characters until a connection is drawn revealing relationships and their meanings to themselves and to the state. The entrapment of the self is sown in society, but when freedom is found a whistle blows and turns life into a new direction.

an inspirational drawign... which drives the team about this movie...

While studying film editing at FTII, I always wanted to de-mystify cinema as much as possible. I grew up in the UAE, in Abu Dhabi, watching Hollywood and Bollywood films. I went to USA for graduation. I never lived in my own country until I finished film school from India. The search for a story to film went on ever since. After directing TV commercials for a few years, and then directing drama for BBC, I met my old friend Pavel, who told me an outline of a script. I thought I have found the story that can connect me to my roots and make me explore to de-mystify the art form I am in love with.

I observed that our generations are rising and questioning our leaders and the power hierarchy; especially in the Third World, we feel that it cannot carry on any longer anymore. No more corruption, no more nepotism, no more lies. And this film deals with an important social message that is inspirational to an individual who is trying to make sense of life regarding power and love.
