After our existing library sustained some water damage the Board of Directors took a look around campus to see if a new Resource Centre in a different location would be more beneficial to our students. Our Board is pleased to announce that our Vacation with a Vision project this summer will include this new Resource Centre. We are reclaiming some existing space above our bleachers, moving and sound-proofing walls and creating a doorway which will connect this room to our existing classrooms, providing wheelchair accessibility to and from the Resource Centre. New library shelving will be built and new furniture purchased. This centre will provide study cubicles for students involved in serious study along with an area for quiet group study with couches and chairs. A counter with coffee machines will also be built in one section of the space available. If you are familiar with the school, the Resource Centre will take the place of the upstairs sports room, audio visual room, old music classroom, yearbook room and large office. The inner wall will also be moved out a few feet. The square footage will be increased above what our existing library provides.
This project was announced to our staff and students just before March break and we are all excited about this project which will directly benefit our students! Other projects which we would like to delve into include the installation of a wheelchair lift between our classrooms and dining hall, siding a staff home and roof repairs on another home. Now, we need your help. Why not join us this year for our Vacation with a Vision program? The dates are June 28July 3, and July 5-10, 2015. We will need skilled carpenters and electricians, and a host of others who can assist in many ways. You can also assist us financially. Here is a breakdown of our needs for these projects. We are in the preliminary planning stages only so all amounts are approximate. • Resource Centre $18,000 Building Supplies and Furniture • 2 Handicap Door Openers $4,000. • Wheelchair Lift $10,000 • Vinyl Siding $4,000 • Roofing Shingles $2,000 Our goal is to raise $40,000 which will allow us to complete these projects. As of February 26, we already have $8,000 in our Vacation with a Vision fund.

The Greatest Weekend Ever! It had been one of those weeks! For God, it started on Thursday with betrayal, the dispersal of His followers and then the trial, filled with injustice, rudeness, mocking and dismissal. It was a harsh, dark, painful and prophetic week.

Vacation With A Vision
From the beginning of time, God selected this weekend to do something He had never done before; something that needed to be finished. So He ruled and overruled, predicted and arranged in order that this Passover would be different than all the others. This weekend, the Lamb, His Lamb, would be sacrificed once and for all. Thursday turned quickly into Friday and this particular Friday became the focal point of love, mercy, atonement, sacrifice and the ultimate Passover. It was a Friday like no other, before or since. It was a day when man rejected, every man dismissed and all men shouted, “Crucify Him.” This gift of the Father’s grace, mercy, redemption and substitution was left hanging for our sins. Jesus called Friday, His hour, His glory. His intended reason for coming was to reveal the mystery of His Father’s love for mankind. The Father sent Jesus boldly into this awful, awesome, amazing and astonishing day to bear our sins in His body on the tree. When this day was almost over, Jesus declared, “It is finished!” Having given
Himself, He died, and the death of God, in Jesus, broke the power of sin over us. He devastated the forces of darkness around us and defeated sin itself for us. That night they laid His body in a tomb and there it rested.
so that we could be a part of its purpose, and for the world who now has the hope of salvation. God can do a lot in a week and He did just that!
Not much is known of Saturday, except that His spirit was in Paradise and He made a proclamation of victory by His death. This was no ordinary Saturday. God was bringing together all of the elements of His gospel. This glorious message had only one more day and it would be accomplished.
Field Trip to the Dominican Republic
Then Sunday came, and the body of Jesus was raised by the Spirit, transformed, glorified and made alive. All the other events of that week culminated on Sunday. “Up from the grave He arose, with a mighty triumph o’er His foes.” To this day we celebrate Sunday, we remember what He did, we gather to proclaim, we worship for His glory, and we preach the glorious gospel.

Vacation with a Vision Library Renovations
From then on “all” would be different. A new way was opened, a new people began to come, a new birth was required, and there were new songs to sing. It had been quite a week. Monday started off with a new mission, a new power, a new message and a new Church. This first church of Jesus Christ gathered, sent, supported, sacrificed, died and propagated the news of this particular week in the calendar of God. So let us rejoice! It was the best weekend ever, for God who conquered 1
PRESIDENT’S CHALLENGE
BY MATTHEW LITTLE
Wrong Place; Wrong Time Have you ever been in the wrong place at the wrong time? Like the four teenagers in Lakeland, Florida who decided it would be fun to attempt to steal an automobile at random. They saw a van that appeared to be unoccupied, fairly secluded, and proceeded to break in only to find that it contained three police officers on a stake out. In 1 Kings 19 we find the prophet Elijah in hiding. He had just done the unthinkable - he had challenged the prophets of Baal to a showdown on Mount Carmel. This pagan religion was welcomed and supported by wicked King Ahab and his infamous wife, Jezebel. After Elijah had decidedly defeated these false prophets and had them all killed, Jezebel responded by saying “So let the gods do to me, and more also, if I make not thy life as the life of one of them by tomorrow about this time” 1 Kings 19:2. Elijah ran for his life and hid in a cave. Feeling a bit sorry for himself and abandoned by man, he sat there in
self-pity and God met him there. As the events of this chapter unfold, there is a statement that appears twice in verse 9 and again in verse 13. God said, “What doest thou here, Elijah?”
to be victorious in one of the greatest showdowns in the Old Testament and now the fear of man has him hiding in a cave with God questioning why he is there.
Sometimes we question where we are and why we are there, but we should never have God question where we are and why we are there. Could it be that God may be saying to you, “What are you doing here?” Yes, often we may be found where we shouldn’t be, doing what we shouldn’t do, motivated by things that ought not to motivate us. We have ventured down this path without any thought as to whether God is walking with us in this journey.
Could it be that the circumstances of life and the influence and prodding of man have you in a place and position you might never have thought you would be? Maybe you need to be like the prodigal son of Luke 15 who came to his senses (verse 17) and returned to his father.
As you read through 1 Kings 19, you will find the answer to the question that God poses. Usually, if we are somewhere we shouldn’t be, it is because of the influence and fear of man over that of the Lord. Twice the phrase, “What doest thou here, Elijah?” is found and both times the response of Elijah is the same, “... they seek my life, to take it away” verses 10b and 14b. Elijah had trusted God

When God finds us in a position and place of disobedience, I am glad He does not simply discard us, or set us aside, but He admonishes us and leads us back to the place of blessing and usefulness. In finding Elijah in the cave, God said, “...Go, return on thy way...”. What does God think about where He finds you at this moment? Maybe you need to be admonished to “Go, return on thy way...”. No matter what cave of disobedience or disappointment God has found you in, heed His call and get back on the path of blessing and obedience.

WITH ASHLEY COUGHLAN, PAUL LONG AND TOM & EMILY WILLIAMSON
to the Dominican Republic Ashley Coughlan, senior student at NBBI participated in the first week of the Dominican trip. Over Christmas break I went on a missions trip to the Dominican Republic. Our group consisted of 12 members (including my father) from The Point Church, in Miramichi, NB and also a number of people from Hartland, NB and Jacksonville,NB. While in the Paul Long, Maintenance Director at NBBI, participated in the second week of the trip.
From January 11th to the 18th, I had the privilege to do a short-term missions trip headed up by a local Tom Williamson is a grad of the 3 year program at NBBI and his wife, Emily, is a 1 year grad. They went to the Dominican for the third week of the trip. It is with joy that Emily and I give you a brief report of the wonderful works of our gracious God in the Dominican. Our team was the last to take part
Dominican, we joined together with the Pastor of Christian’s Church in Sosúa. Our mission was to build a house for Pastor Yonny, whose church is in La Cienaga. This was an amazing opportunity and it was great to be a part of the work that God is doing there. It was great coming alongside the Dominicans and working with them despite the language barrier. Probably the highlight of my week was on Friday night at the youth rally. There were approximately 700 teens present. During the rally a 12 year old girl named Maria, whom I had become attached to at the work site, accepted Christ as
her Saviour. I was able to speak to her afterwards and show her some verses in her Spanish Bible, which she had received that night. Please keep Maria in your prayers. There has not been a day since I returned home that I have not thought of the Dominican and if it is in God’s will, I would love to return there in the future.
church. The trip was to the Dominican Republic and while there I was involved with building classrooms on the second floor of a church that was built two years ago. Also, I was involved with finishing a parsonage that was built the previous week by a group from the Miramichi which included one of our senior students, Ashley Coughlan. Four different projects were going on during my week there: carpenters were involved in building; a mechanic was fixing the pastors’ vehicles; New Brunswick pastors were holding a pastors’ conference daily in the mountains; and
New Brunswick ladies were holding a ladies’ conference in a neighbouring village each morning. One of the highlights for me was the opportunity to work with several of the national teen boys who live as orphans on the compound. This allowed me to learn a little Spanish. On our last full day there, we went up into the mountains to a dedication service for a church that was built four years ago by this same group. A Saturday 1:00 pm service filled the church. My overall impressions were that these brothers and sisters have a lot less than we do in New Brunswick but seem to be a lot more content with where God has them. Thank you too to those who prayed for me and the work that was done.
in completing a three year building project which included a church, a parsonage, an orphanage and a good size playground for the children. While Emily and others were on the second floor of the church painting walls and retractable partitions, most of the men were busy constructing the new playground and cautiously dodging 20 to 25 excited children on the jobsite! We had a medical team with a doctor and several nurses that went daily into the surrounding villages, set up clinics and checked the general health of the people. Another division (the outreach team) was busy going house-tohouse in the villages letting many know there was medical help available. It was amazing how God
used these teams! Upon leaving the clinic, people were given a Bible, a gospel tract and a devotional. We also supplied dollar store glasses for magnification. On Thursday night, I had the privilege of preaching the gospel at an open air meeting in a small village. There was no room in the church! There were five decisions for Christ that night. What a blessing! This was definitely a God-ordained missions trip (Galatians 6:10; Romans 9:17).
