Who We Are OUR HISTORY The New Brunswick Bible Institute was founded in the fall of 1944. Rev. John Parschauer and a group of Christian men saw the need for a Bible-centered school where young men and women might receive a sound training in the Word of God and be sent forth to evangelize. The late Mr. Clayton B. Clark was appointed chairman of the Board of Directors. The school opened in a farm home in the Rosedale district not far from Hartland, New Brunswick. While enrollment that first year was small, only 10 students, the blessing of the Lord was most evident. Shortly after, new property in the village of Victoria Corner was acquired and the school began to build. A well-qualified, spiritually-minded faculty and staff have given devoted service to the preparation and training of thousands of young people now successfully serving Jesus Christ in pastoral, evangelistic and missionary work around the world.
OUR PURPOSE & PHILOSOPHY New Brunswick Bible Institute is committed to Jesus Christ and His plan of building His church on earth through the directives of the Great Commission - evangelism and discipleship. This school was founded in 1944 with the sole purpose of being a Bible training institution to help disciple and prepare men and women to serve Jesus Christ at home and abroad. Our purpose of existence is fulfilled by three basic objectives: 1. Biblical and theological training, 2. Spiritual life and character development, 3. Ministry training and Christian service activities. The philosophy that permeates our purpose, objectives and daily campus life is that: 1. The Word of God must be first and foremost in the life and ministry of all believers in order for us to be spiritually effective (II Timothy 2:16-17) 2. We must be disciplined men and women of God in order for God to be glorified by holy living and righteous works. Self discipline is valuable, required discipline is necessary but spiritual discipline is by far the most valuable achievement to seek after (Galatians 5:22-23; 1Timothy 4:7-8). 3. Our lives must be devoted to God’s work on earth as labourers together with Christ. God’s work is all about people. We must learn to be skillful in the use of our gifts and talents in order to reach people for Christ and encourage them to join the ranks of fellow servants in ministry (II Timothy 2:15). New Brunswick Bible Institute seeks to partner with and support local churches, Christian families and all believers in order to fulfill God’s plan, God’s commission and God’s will for His people on earth. 4
OUR FAITH & PRACTICE The New Brunswick Bible Institute is a non-denominational, fundamental, missionary, independent school. In stating this we do not want to convey a proud and haughty separatist spirit, but we do want to honestly set forth our position so that you will not be under any false assumptions concerning our doctrinal policies and practices. By Fundamental we mean that we adhere to the following statement of faith and practices which every staff member is required to sign without reservation. By Non-denominational we mean that we are not aligned with any denomination, but receive students on the basis of their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and their compliance with our requirements for entrance. By Missionary we mean that we believe that it is the task of the Church to become involved, on an individual basis and through joint effort with those of similar goals and objectives, in the ministry of World Evangelism. By World Evangelism we refer to the reaching of lost souls with the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ as defined in I Corinthians 15. Our students are exposed to Faith Missions in chapels, classes and conferences. By Independent we mean that we are governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Directors. We are not affiliated with any other organization in any official capacity. Thus the school is not influenced or controlled by an outside body. We are, however, incorporated according to the Laws of the Province of New Brunswick as a “School for Training young men and women to do the work of the ministry.” An audited financial report is published each year and available to the public upon request. New Brunswick Bible Institute does not co-operate in any manner whatsoever with Ecumenical Groups, including the World Council of Churches and its agencies, and/or any Evangelical efforts sponsored by those who do not hold to the fundamental doctrines of the Christian Faith. It is the purpose of the New Brunswick Bible Institute to remain true to God’s Word in precept and practice in all phases and areas of our work.

Opportunities STUDY ABROAD NBBI provided me with three amazing opportunites to have a first-hand look at missions. In my four years I was part of three missions teams to Guatemala, Texas and Japan. My experience in Japan was one that I wouldn’t trade for the world. As a fourth year student I was required to do an eight month internship and I chose to do mine with a missionary in Kanazawa, Japan. For a low cost I was able to go about the day-to-day life of a missionary and complete my studies all while taking in the sights, smells and language of such a rich culture. It was all made possible through God’s leading and the New Brunswick Bible Institute ABM program.
A WORLD OF OPPORTUNITIES ARE OPENED TO NBBI STUDENTS THROUGH YEARLY MISSIONS TRIPS, STUDYING ABROAD AND REGULAR VISITS FROM MISSIONS ORGANIZATIONS TO THE CAMPUS.

my nbbi story jessie lofton b.th., grad of 2011 When I arrived on the campus of NBBI, I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life or more importantly what God wanted to do with my life. But as I sat under the teaching of God’s Word, lived among other students who desired to live for the Lord, and served during my Practical Christian Service, I began to discover God’s plan. Every week I traveled with a team from NBBI to teach a Good News Club® at an elementary school. I already knew about Good News Club® from my childhood because that’s where I trusted Christ as my Saviour. As I taught the children weekly and watched them grow in the Lord, I knew this is what God wanted me to do for the rest of my life. Upon finishing the ABM program, I began serving with Child Evangelism Fellowship® in Eastern Maine. I now work alongside local churches and volunteers to evangelize, disciple, and establish children in the Word of God. I continue to teach children weekly in Good News Clubs and delight to watch them learn to love the Lord. NBBI equipped me for a lifetime of service and I am thankful to have attended a Bible Institute that is committed to training leaders from the Word of God. 14
