Who We are OUR HISTORY
New Brunswick Bible Institute was founded in the fall of 1944. Rev. John Parschauer and a group of Christian men saw the need for a Biblecentered school where young men and women might receive a sound training in the Word of God and be sent out to evangelize. Mr. Clayton B. Clark was appointed chairman of the Board of Directors and the school opened in a farm house in Rosedale, New Brunswick, not far from Hartland.
While enrollment that first year was small, only 10 students, the blessing of the Lord was evident. Shortly after, new property in the village of Victoria Corner was acquired and the school began to grow.
A well-qualified, spiritually-minded faculty and staff have given devoted service to the preparation and training of thousands of young people now successfully serving Jesus Christ in pastoral, evangelistic and missionary work around the world.
OUR PURPOSE & PHILOSOPHY
New Brunswick Bible Institute is committed to Jesus Christ and His plan of building His church on earth through the directives of the Great Commission - evangelism and discipleship. This school was founded with the sole purpose of being a Bible training institution to help disciple and prepare men and women to serve Jesus Christ at home and abroad. Our purpose of existence is fulfilled by three basic objectives: Biblical and theological training; spiritual life and character development; and ministry training and Christian service activities.
The philosophy that permeates our purpose, objectives and daily campus life is that:
1. The Word of God must be first and foremost in the life and ministry of all believers in order for us to be spiritually effective (II Timothy 3:16-17).
2. We must be disciplined men and women of God in order for God to be glorified by holy living and righteous works. Self discipline is valuable, required discipline is necessary but spiritual discipline is by far the most valuable achievement to seek after (Galatians 5:22-23; I Timothy 4:7-8).
3. Our lives must be devoted to God’s work on earth as labourers together with Christ. God’s work is all about people. We must learn to be skillful in the use of our gifts and talents in order to reach people for Christ and encourage them to join the ranks of fellow servants in ministry (II Timothy 2:15).
New Brunswick Bible Institute seeks to partner with and support local churches, Christian families and all believers in order to fulfill God’s plan, God’s commission and God’s will for His people on earth.
3
OUR FAITH & PRACTICE
New Brunswick Bible Institute is a nondenominational, fundamental, missionary, independent school. In stating this, we do not want to convey a proud and haughty, separatist spirit, but we do want to honestly set forth our position so that you will not be under any false assumptions concerning our doctrinal policies and practices.
By Fundamental we mean that we adhere to the following doctrinal statement with which every staff member is in agreement.
By Non-denominational we mean that we are not aligned with any denomination, but receive students on the basis of their faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and their compliance with our requirements for entrance.
By Missionary we mean that we believe that it is the task of the Church to become involved, on an individual basis and through joint effort with those of similar goals and objectives, in the ministry of World Evangelism. By World Evangelism we refer to the reaching of lost souls with the message of the gospel of Jesus Christ as defined in I Corinthians 15. Our students are exposed to Faith Missions in chapels, classes and conferences.
By Independent we mean that we are governed by a self-perpetuating Board of Directors. We are not affiliated with any other organization in any official capacity. Thus the school is not influenced or controlled by an outside body.
We are, however, incorporated according to the laws of the Province of
WhaT We believe
1. the verbal inspiration of the old and new testaments.
By this is meant God’s superintendence of the human authors so that, using their own individual personalities, they composed and recorded, without error, God’s revelation to man in the words of the original autographs. (2 Pet. 1:21; 2 Tim. 3:16).
2. the trinity of the godhead.
There is one living and true God existing eternally in the three equal Persons: Father, Son and Holy Ghost. (Gen. 1:26; Matt. 28:19) (Compare Rom. 1:7; Heb. 1:8; Acts 5:3,4).
3. the deity of jesus christ.
From all eternity Jesus Christ was God the Son. He came into humanity by the virgin birth and today is the God-man in the Glory. (John 1:1; Heb. 1:8; John 20:28).
4. the personality and deity of the holy spirit.
The Holy Spirit is the third Person of the Trinity by whom believers are called, regenerated, baptized into Christ, indwelt, sealed, guided, taught, witnessed to, sanctified, aided and filled for service. (John 14:16-18; Rom. 8:9-27; I Cor. 6:19-20; Eph. 1:13-14;5:18).
5. man is totally depraved and spiritually lost. He is by practice and by nature a sinner in need of regeneration by the Holy Spirit of God. (Eph. 2:1-3).
6. there is only one plan of salvation. It is through faith in the finished work of Christ. (John 3:5; 14:6; 20:30,31). This salvation has been purchased solely through the blood of Christ. (1 Pet. 1:18,19; Eph. 1:7; Rev. 1:5; Heb. 9:22).
7. christ rose bodily from the grave. He ascended to Heaven to carry on a ministry of intercession for the saints. (John 2:19-22; Luke 24:36-43: Heb. 7:25).
8. the imminent and pre-millennial return of jesus christ.
At this time the living saints will be translated and the dead in Christ will be raised. The church, which is the body of Christ, will be raptured before the period of the Great Tribulation. (Acts 1:11; 1 Thess. 4:14-18; 1 Cor. 15:50-52; 1 Thess. 5:9).
9. the bodily resurrection of all men. The saved will be raised to everlasting joy and bliss, the lost to everlasting damnation in hell. (Job 19:25-27; Rev. 20:4-6, 13; 2 Thess. 1:9; Matt. 25:41, 46).
10. satan
He was once one of God’s created cherubim, fell through pride and since then has been in constant warfare with God. He is prince of the present world system and will ultimately be confined to torments in the lake of fire. (Ezek. 28:12-19; Luke 10:18; Rev. 20:10; Is. 14:12-14).
New Brunswick as a “School for Training young men and women to do the work of the ministry.” An audited financial report is published each year and available to the public upon request.
New Brunswick Bible Institute does not co-operate in any manner whatsoever with ecumenical groups, including the World Council of Churches and its agencies, and/or any evangelical efforts sponsored by those who do not hold to the fundamental doctrines of the Christian Faith.
It is the purpose of the New Brunswick Bible Institute to remain true to God’s Word in precept and practice in all phases and areas of our work.
11. all who, by faith, receive jesus christ are born again. They are born again of the Holy Spirit, therefore are children of God and eternally saved. The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer to enlighten them in life, testimony and service. (John 3:5; 1 Cor. 2:9-14).
12. god gives spiritual gifts to all believers. This is for the building up of the body of Christ. (1 Cor. 12).
13. “tongues and healing” were authenticating signs. These were given to confirm the teaching of the apostles. Thus they were foundational gifts and are not needed today because we have the complete revelation of God in the Scriptures. Therefore, we cannot commend or support the modern-day charismatic movement. (Eph. 2:20; 2 Cor 12:12, Heb. 2:4; Acts 2:43).
14. divorced men or men married to divorcees, should not assume the position of pastor or deacon While they ought not to be excluded from membership, they should not assume the position of pastor or deacon in a local church. Because we are training Christian leaders, we do not accept divorcees or those married to divorcees in our day school program. (1 Tim. 3:2).

WhaT We Do
New Brunswick Bible Institute is dedicated to the training of young people who are sincere and earnest in their desire to live for Jesus Christ. The Bible is central to what is taught in the classroom and woven into whatever course a student might be taking at any time. The three programs that we offer are:
Lifequest/Associate of Biblical and Theological Studies (38 Credit Hours-Diploma)
This one-year program is designed for Christians who feel the need for biblical training to increase their effectiveness in the local church. It is also intended for the Christian who desires a solid, biblical foundation on which to build a future vocation and ministry. Graduates of this program can transfer directly into the second year of the three-year program.
Biblical and Theological Studies (108 Credit Hours-Diploma)
The purpose of this three-year program is to equip the student for pastoral, evangelistic or missionary service. The course has, as its main objective, a thorough study of the Bible, which is the inspired Word of God. Related subjects are included which give instruction in pastoral care, missionary work and ministry related to the local church. Graduates of this program can transfer directly into the fourth year program of Advanced Biblical Ministries.
Advanced Biblical Ministries - Bachelor of Biblical Studies (B.B.S.) or Bachelor of Religious Education Degree (B.R.E.) (146 Credit Hours)*
There is no substitute for practical experience. This one-year internship program is an extension to our three-year program. It involves the student in a wide range of practical ministry for a prolonged period of time. The student will work under a carefully selected mentor in a church or other ministry setting. It is intended that the student and mentor will form a ministry team working together for the glory of God and their mutual benefit. The student will benefit from the example and wisdom of the mentor’s years of godly service. In addition the student will complete 34 hours of academic study to balance the practical ministry. The student will gain insights into ministry not obtainable from textbook study alone. Good study habits will be reinforced along with personal discipline and ministry skills.
*Commencing with the 2023-2024 academic year, New Brunswick Bible Institute has been granted the authority by the Province of New Brunswick to confer Bachelor Degrees.

Services here on campus allow our students to discover and excercise their spiritual gifts and natural abilities by preaching, teaching, singing and testifying. They may also assist on the worship team or play an instrument during these services. Students play a huge role in our youth, ladies’ and men’s retreats.
Summer Ministries
Students are required to serve in a local church, Christian camp or other Christian organization during the summer months between their years of study here at NBBI. Students return with testimonies and stories of how God worked in and through them as they participated in some type of service for Him.
Missions’ Trips
Many of our students participate in missions’ trips during school breaks or over the summer. Some of the NBBI-sponsered teams have gone to New York City, Texas, Bermuda, Ukraine, Ireland, Bolivia, Guatamala, Mexico, Ethiopia, Antigua and Barbados.
Future Service
Our alumni have laboured in over 60 countries of the world, serving as pastors, missionaries, youth workers, Bible teachers, evangelists, etc. Others are busy serving in their local churches in various ways, working with children, youth, adults and seniors. They are sought after and well-spoken of. Our grads are making a difference and reaching our world!
