The NBLSA International Negotiations Competitions (INC) will take place during our 44th Annual NBLSA National Convention during March 7th-‐11th, 2012 in Washington, DC at the Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel. The INC provides students with a unique opportunity to develop negotiation skills, while increasing their awareness of important global issues. Competitors form teams of two and are asked to negotiate an international issue. The competition consists of five total rounds (two preliminary rounds, a quarterfinal round, a semifinal round, and a final round) and each negotiation session last approximately one hour and thirty minutes in length. Judges will score each competitor using our INC judging rubric and provide written and verbal feedback after each round. In addition, all judges will be provided with an orientation prior to the competition and will receive a packet with concise instructions, the competition problems, confidential facts, and score sheets with the judging rubric. As a judge, you can participate in as many rounds as your schedule permits. The current schedule for International Negotiations Competition is:
