CANCELLATIONS
Help us have successful programs by registering early! All programs must have a minimum number of participants in order to be conducted. If a program does not meet this minimum, the class may be canceled. Cancellations by customers made five business days prior to the start of a program will receive a refund. No cancellation refunds will be given after the start of a program or event. Registration fees will not be prorated for partial attendance.
PHOTO RELEASE
The New Braunfels Parks and Recreation Department routinely takes photos and videos of participants in recreation activities, programs and special events and/ or at recreation facilities. These photos and/or videos may be used for promotional purposes. Be aware that by participating, you are granting the City of New Braunfels the right to use and publish your image or your minor child’s image.

If registering for a class that is full, your name can be placed on a waiting list. This does not guarantee a spot, but individuals will be contacted if an opening becomes available.

PARKS & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD
The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board makes recommendations to the City Council concerning policy matters related to the establishment, maintenance and operation of the City’s parks and recreation programs. The Parks and Recreation Advisory Board meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:00pm at City Hall - Council Chambers, located at 550 Landa Street.
PARKS FOUNDATION
Established in 2005, the New Braunfels Parks Foundation exists to promote, protect and enhance the parks system of the City of New Braunfels through education, resource development and community partnerships. Some of the exciting projects the NBPF has funded include construction of JAWS Skate Park and Puppy Playland, and the Landa Park Mini Golf renovation. DOGGIE DIP DAY
One of the few times a year the pool belongs to the pups! Bring your water-loving pooch to play and cool off in the Springfed pool. This is a pre-purchased ticket event with two, 2-hour time block options available: 12pm – 2pm or 2pm-4pm. Each human guest must have a ticket, max of 2 doggos admitted per ticket. Don’t forget your pooches' proof of current rabies vaccine for the day of the event! Owners are required to clean up after their pets and are responsible for their behavior within the park. This is an off-leash event.

DOS RIOS 5K SPLASH AND DASH
June 18th at Cypress Bend Park. Enjoy 2 beautiful rivers and 3 parks along our great route for the 11th annual Dos Rios Splash and Dash 5K will benefit the New Braunfels Parks Foundation. Two options on the 5K. You can just run the roads or for an additional challenge you can run the roads and tube through the chute. Awards are given for each category of race. You will run from Cypress Bend Park to Prince Solms Park and then back to Cypress Bend Park. For the chute challenge, when you get to Prince Solms park you will grab a tube and float the river through the tube chute. You will then continue the rest of your run. (Yes you will be running with wet shoes unless you take them off prior to the chute.) Tubes are provided by the city for the Chute Challenge. You do not need to provide your own.

RAPIDS TRACK PROGRAM
Where dreams of being a track star are brought to life! Go the extra mile and join the Rapids track program this summer to learn the fundamentals and basic principles of training and competing in the sport of track and field. Participants will train in specific events and foster the importance of personal health and sportsmanship throughout the program.
Rapids Track participants will make plans to participate in two circuit meets, a regional qualifying meet, and the TAAF Summer Games of Texas state meet.

The Little Athletes series of courses are designed to give your preschooler a basic introduction to sports. Our coaches will guide all young athletes through the fundamental movements and skills of each sport with an emphasis on learning through play. Our courses are designed to allow each child to develop their skills individually while learning in a group setting. Drills will emphasize technique, sharing, patience and motor development while keeping participants engaged.

Angie holds a degree in dance education and is certified as a Texas Dance Educator. She also holds her personal training certification from AFAA. Angie specializes in flexibility and endurance, cardio and group conditioning, senior and children’s fitness, and injury prevention. When Angie isn’t training or dancing she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding, reading, and traveling.

Tina is energetic with an outgoing personality that is passionate about fitness. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Science Education and is an NASM Certified Personal Trainer. Tina’s passion and knowledge of fitness comes from the many hours of training she has done to prepare for triathlons, obstacle course races, and longdistance cycling and running. Her goal as a trainer is to motivate her clients and build a fitness program that meets their specific health and wellness goals. Originally hailing from the northwest suburbs of Chicago, IL, Lisa has spent her entire life being active in some form or fashion. When she’s not working, you can find her practicing aerial silks and trapeze, reading, crafting or relaxing.
