The usual suspects..
No changes here! Vicki, Gordon and Yours truly give you the lowdown on the admin side of the club. The VP’s name isn’t on that list because we don’t have one! So if you’re keen to be Vice President of NCCA, or know someone who is, let us know!

ELLO READERS! So after a crazy 12 months the club was finally able to get together and have a reshuffle of committee members. Thanks to the club for giving me the opportunity to be lead the club as president and thank you to the outgoing president Lynn Cuttle for fantastic job in a very trying time. Lynn showed great leadership, composure and was tireless in her duties and I can only hope to emulate that.
We welcome Joel Scott to the fold; he has jumped on board to be the autocross secretary. Joel has showed great results at autocross events in the last few years, winning the junior class championship in 2019. He will have great insights into the autocross events and we welcome you to committee. We have a few members staying on in their positions including Vicki, Gordon, Callum, Aiden, Mason, Russell and Lucas. With the exception of Russell who have moved up to do the Rally reports. I look forward to working with all of you and want everyone to know that we as a club will be united together and all your input to the club is very important and together, we will do a fantastic job and move the club forward. Thank you also to the other long term servants Rhiannon and Stuart for their time in the committee it is a thankless task and often unrewarding but you have done a great job and the club appreciates your efforts. With the formalities over I am stoked to say restrictions in Victoria are starting to reduce which means once again we can go back to some normality, hopefully for a long time. This means it will be full steam ahead for the club in its efforts to get some upcoming events going. There are events and functions coming up in August and especially September in all disciplines. So get your entries in or put your hand up to help out or participate in the functions because with recent cancellations and post-ponned events it’s really import for the club, its members and the whole of the state of Victoria if we can show our support and get back to where we were before these Covid times. Check out the calendar, read the articles and look for notices about upcoming events and functions. I look forward to seeing you all there. - Cary Seabrook. President.

I EVERYONE Well, this is the August edition of the NissanLink. The year will be finished before we know it! Firstly, I would like to say a big thank you to the previous Committee members for all the work that they have done for the Club behind the scenes.
Secondly, I would like offer a warm welcome to our NEW Committee members. I am looking forward to a year of new ideas and direction for the Club. We will work together to get this happening. Hopefully Covid won’t cause too much kerfuffle over the rest of the year. Having said that, Covid HAS caused the Gippsland Rally to be re-scheduled to October 16th. Let’s hope that the lockdowns are kept to minimal for the rest of the year. I do think it is better to err on the side of caution to slow/stop the spread of this vicious virus. Our next MGM get together is scheduled for the September meeting at the Manningham. If we can get out and about in August, maybe we will try and arrange a meet up with you members somewhere. We will keep you updated on this. That’s it from me for this month. Stay safe and healthy everyone and I hope to see you soon. - Vicki Curry, Secretary.

E AGAIN FOR ANOTHER FISCAL YEAR! What a year we have had courtesy to a Mutated Flu Virus, lock downs and disruptions to our operations. We have had a couple of successful events to keep us rolling along and so onward for 2021/2022
Bank balance as at 25/07/2021 $40832.35. This is a good launch pad for the upcoming Valley Stages rally. Let’s hope it is not interrupted. Whilst my project has slowed due to some hard to find parts, a delayed cylinder head modification and a couple of other little delays, look forward to getting back to her as the weather improves. Have got to check a rewired instrument cluster and other electricals as well. I almost forgot. Welcome our new committee members, I look forward to the coming year! See you around the tracks. - Gordon Ledwidge, Treasurer.

OUR EDITOR RETURNS! Back in the silly seat again for another year which is awesome.
The 2021 Nissan Link has received a lick of paint and some nicer formatting. Hopefully this will improve the standard of the magazine as well as getting some of the formatting niggles from the previous design out. Feedback is super important, so if you have any questions or constructive criticism regarding the redesign, give me a shout at mason@masonpeartmedia. com.au I’ve been made aware of a widespread issue regarding non Apple phones not being able to navigate the magazine. I’m looking into ways to eliminate that issue now. I did have a solution lined up, however it didn’t quite work out. We’ll get you guys sorted soon! In the meantime, the magazine is very light without member article contributions, so as usual please send through anything relevant you have to add! Cheers guys. - Mason Peart, Editor.

’VE BEEN BUSY THIS MONTH!
At the time of writing this we had 336 members in the club. Once the weather improves, we may have opportunities to get some of the CH cars out for a spin. We have several R32s & R33 in the club and I would love to see them out and about.
Next month the club is running the Western Victorian Crane Trucks Valley Stages and I know we will need to give Craig and his team a helping hand to get the event up and running. Keep a lookout in the club magazine and on the Facebook page for dates of events and nights out. If your membership is due for renewal this month, please click THIS LINK to renew online. It’s simple, safe, secure and will take no time at all!

Hope to see you soon. - Aiden Peart, Membership / CH plate officer. I GUYS! Not too much to report this month unfortunately the cancellation of the festival of speed means we have lost a round of the Group5 Motorkhana Championship, however don’t fret because the next round is scheduled for the 15th of August! Sup regs don’t seem to be released yet, but to get your brain ticking here’s a novel idea!
Why don’t you guys borrow granny’s car and give it a rev tune at the next event ;) See you there! - Lucas Thorpe, Motorkhana Co-rep alongside Stuart Stevenson.

EY ALL! Russell here, your new rally secretary. I’ll try my best to keep you all informed and up to date on the rally world.
We’ve got a bit of a wait before any sideways action in the bush, the next scheduled event is the WVCT Valley Stages on the weekend of 19/09/2021. If you don’t plan on competing, why not put your hand up early to secure a private spectating position, otherwise known as a road closure! The Moonlight Meander has been rescheduled for the 02/10/2021. The Middle of Everywhere Gippsland rally has been postponed until the 16/10/2021 What else would you like to see in my monthly report? Let me know by emailing me on russell.seabrook@hotmail.com

Until next month, wash your hands, and I’ll see you all again. - Russell Seabrook, Rally. PDATE ON AUTOCROSS, round 5 of VCAS was canceled at Swan Hill because of covid but round 6 of VCAS went ahead at Boisdale on the 10th of June. Overall we had 6 laps, first couple of laps were slippery from the water truck but that dried up for a few good laps later in the day, towards the end the track chopped up for the last couple of laps at night.
Overall nothing bad happed just few people getting stuck on a lump of dirt from a big hole on the inside corner going in to the loop. Overall it was a good success for Nissan, doing very well to all place within the top 20. Results from Boisdale Nissan only (outright from around 100 entries) Cary – 2nd in class - 8th O/R Glenn – 2nd in class – 11th O/R Joel – 1st in class – 17th O/R Russell – he was unable to attend, he fell asleep after a big night of making snow men. Kyneton had to be canceled due to covid and dates clashing from other clubs. The next round is at Shepperton on 12th of Sept, and is a road tyre only event. - Joel Scott, Autocross.
