hen Dr. Shepard envisioned the School of Law, even without a crystal ball, he correctly foresaw the importance of a law school that could produce diverse, practice-ready attorneys. Opening March 1939, the same year The Wizard of Oz movie premiered, Dr. Shepard’s keen insight surpassed mere wizardry with its green smoke and closed curtains.
