Planning for Your Future.

Despite the importance of having a will, recent studies show that nearly half of all Americans never get around to drafting it. A common misconception is that planning for the future is a lengthy, complicated process. Creating a plan is less about form and procedure and more about considering all the people and causes that are important to you. The reality is more like this:

• Many assets can be transferred outside of your will. • A well-written will can be a couple of pages long. • If you do not create a plan, the state will create a plan for you, one that may not match your goals.

In addition to directing how you want your assets distributed, you can avoid or limit taxes for your heirs, include healthcare directives and end-of-life instructions so others will know your wishes, and appoint a guardian to care for your minor children. Most importantly, you can live every day knowing you have not left your life’s work to chance. While you are writing your will, you’ll have the opportunity to join our amazing supporters who have helped Nationwide Children’s by including legacy gifts in their estate plans. Gifts of any size can make a lasting impact on future generations of children everywhere.

Everyone needs a will. And there’s no better moment than now to find some peace of mind in planning for the future. Our Estate Planning Guide can make the first steps easier. Scan the QR code below to download a copy of the guide.
