Programme Description
Award and Progression
This programme will provide you with the latest knowledge and competencies required by the fastest growing global industry. Cloud Computing is expected to be a multibillion euro industry over the next two years. This programme is practical in nature and offers specialisations in arguably the most important areas of cloud computing: software as a service and management of underlying infrastructure components (inclusive in the role of the system administrator). Learners engaging with the programme will gain experience with the latest principles, models and technologies in cloud computing delivered by faculty and industry experts with experience in cloud computing.
The Masters of Science in Cloud Computing is awarded by HETAC at level 9 on the National Framework of Qualifications. Students who successfully complete this programme may progress to a major award at level 10 on the NFQ.
Who is the Programme for? This is a new programme that will appeal to different categories of learners: technical graduates, industry experts, system administrators and those with an interest in gaining practical experience in cloud computing. This programme is for technical professionals in the workplace and college graduates from computing disciplines at level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications.

The programme is practical in nature and aims to provide individuals with an understanding of how to create cutting edge web applications distributed across the latest platforms to include cloud computing and incorporating the latest trends in web technologies.

This programme is for technical professionals in the workplace and college graduates from cognate disciplines at level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications.
