Wild Souls Ranch Announces Land Purchase

Wild Souls Ranch is a Therapeutic Equine Youth and Family Services nonprofi t organization providing local at-risk youth with Equine Assisted Growth and Learning services, a Wraparound Program for children adopted out of Foster Care, and a Colt Training Program as Tip Trainers for the Mustang Heritage Foundation. Started in 2013 by Savanah McCarty, Wild Souls Ranch has grown and expanded, both in services off ered, staffi ng, and herd size, allowing them to help more and more families each year. In 2017, Wild Souls Ranch moved to Fortuna to rent property purchased and renovated by Marion Brown. Recently, through an extraordinary partnership opportunity and signifi cant grant funding by the USDA, they were able to purchase the property from Marion and are now full owners. “This purchase provides Wild Souls Ranch an opportunity to have a ‘forever home’ and there are no plans to change a thing,” said Amy Scolari, Community Outreach & Development Director.
