UnidosUS Spring Events

Leaders In Action Summit March 21–22, 2018. Washington, DC The UnidosUS Leaders in Action Summit is held in conjunction with the UnidosUS Capital Awards. The Leaders in Action Summit begins with a networking reception to welcome attendees from around the country. On the first full day, Summit participants attend leadership and advocacy trainings on the latest legislative, policy, and advocacy issues facing the Hispanic community. The following day, participants head to Capitol Hill to put their training into action. This two-day summit brings more than 350 community leaders from 150 community-based organizations across the country to Washington, DC.

Capital Awards Gala March 22, 2018. Washington, DC The UnidosUS Capital Awards Gala concludes the Leaders in Action Summit. A nonpartisan event, the Capital Awards Gala has been the premier annual event in Washington, DC that recognizes elected and appointed officials from both sides of the aisle for their outstanding support of public policies that are vital to Hispanic Americans. These community leaders are familiar with the challenges and policy issues affecting their constituencies firsthand, and are tirelessly engaged in developing and implementing innovative and positive solutions in their communities. Unidosus Affiliate of the Year Award — $200,000 Seize the opportunity to be a part of the highest honor bestowed on a UnidosUS Affiliate — the UnidosUS Affiliate of the Year Award. This distinguished award program recognizes six nonprofit Affiliates that are going above and beyond the standard of service delivery and impact in the Hispanic community, with one being selected as Affiliate of the Year. The regional and national honorees are recognized at key events throughout the Annual Conference.
