Rockford College fully recognizes the breadth and depth of its role in preparing professional, high quality teachers equipped to increase student learning. To that end, future teachers, principals, and superintendents can rely upon the College to provide a rigorous program based upon research-based knowledge and best practices pedagogy necessary for effective teaching. We also welcome conversation regarding the development of valid and reliable methodologies to identify rigorous standards that would align with student achievement data along with research that would measure teacher outcomes and link components of teacher preparation with student achievement.
