For over 55 years, Feed the Hunger was based in the Burlington, North Carolina, area. What started out as a mission trip to Mexico led by J.L. and Patt Williams in 1968 quickly morphed into an interracial singing group and later into a cross-cultural ministry that continues today. While outreach methods have changed, the mission remains the same: feeding the spiritual and physical hunger, especially in at-risk children. The faithfulness of God and of Feed the Hunger’s committed partners and supporters transforms lives worldwide, and people see hope for a brighter future.

We must grow to meet the opportunities the Lord places before us. We prayed for God’s guidance and direction, and we began looking at a new location that would provide for growth, quality, and functionality. We wanted to grow into a larger population center with more churches to help meet the growing need for global outreach. At the same time, we had to maintain our superior standard of excellence in food packing with modernized production and storage facilities. And, finally, the new location had to be functional, with space for warehousing, packing, offices, and shipping operations. Our new facility now expands brand awareness in a larger community and has the potential to impact even more lives for Christ.
the Hunger reached MILLION MEALS
under five years. It took the first 10 years of mark. AND NEEDS ARE INCREASING!
Over 700 million people are struggling with hunger and poverty, with some 70–90 million of these because of the COVID pandemic and the recent string of regional conflicts. And children are more than twice as likely as adults to live in extreme poverty.
Our partners in South Africa, Bangladesh, and other countries still need DOUBLE the food we are sending them.

Rescuing Girls in Bangladesh
Children whose mothers live in brothels face a bleak future. Feed the Hunger meals were a lifeline to these women and children during the pandemic. What started out as just a meal has led to Bible distributions, schools being built in the brothels, and young girls rescued by our partner and given hope for a different future!
OUR FOOTPRINT our mission
Feeding Refugees in Ukraine
Our partner in Ukraine uses Feed the Hunger meals to reach the homeless and those displaced by war: “Through Feed the Hunger, we provide meals that satisfy hunger and offer depth of nutrition. Our goal is not only to provide sustenance and hope, but also to share the love of Christ and offer eternal salvation to those in need.”

Bibles in Pakistan
Providing spiritual food through Bible distribution is vital to our mission.
“Greetings in the name of Jesus. My name is Mosa and I study in class five. I’m very thankful for those who provided me this Bible. I share with my siblings at home the story of how Christ died on the cross. I also pray to God for those who provided me this Bible.”
Edu-Packs and Writing Kits in Ghana
Children in rural Ghana who lack the most basic educational supplies cannot succeed in school. Edu-Packs, which contain a school year’s worth of materials in a backpack, and Writing Kits, containing eight essential items in a pencil pouch, allow students to get a boost in their education.
Hygiene Packs in Sri Lanka
“Feed the Hunger’s commitment to providing Hygiene Packs to needy children in Sri Lanka is greatly appreciated. Children’s lives are definitely improved by this. The children know the importance of brushing their teeth and washing their hands after receiving these packs.”
—Sri Lanka partner
“Having personally seen in Bangladesh how much our partners have used our food to open doors for ministry, I’m more convinced that we had maxed out our previous location for packing, storage, and shipping. Our partners have been urging us to send more food, Hygiene Packs, and school supplies. It’s exciting to think that the Greensboro facility will provide exactly what is needed to help meet the many pressing needs among at-risk children and others in crisis.”
