Poidog What now? I dont even know how this all started or what kept the fire going, but my love for what I do seems to be never ending. Even after saying good bye to NDA I still find reasons to use my camera. Even if I sold my equipment I would still break out my phone lol. When given my first camera I remember thinking how a photo could show exactly what I wanted to remember. It was kind of like building an external memory that I could always look back on. Video was the same for me, and as a kid the VHS camcorder went every where I went. Capturing moments with my friends felt natural for me, I never stressed the shot, just the moment. And I believe thats what makes my style unique. I could always relate to motocross the best. I have experience riding and racing, so I knew how the rider felt, or what could be considered an accomplishment in riding or style. Which is probably why Ive done so much in the MX Community, which grew into what was to be known as NDA Action Sports. In general I try to see people as they are, simply awesome. Nobody is perfect, but we all have something special, and I try to capture that. Since starting NDigitalArts we were blessed by many different walks of life, moto, skate, bmx, endurance runs, engagements, weddings, literacy groups, senior shoots, family shoots, Bat Mitzvahs, small business, and possibly the most unique of them all was a Hair Salon, and that was a great shoot. Now, I guess the big question is why close NDA down? Well, there are a lot of things I just cant speak on, and theres a lot of reasons on a personal level that drove me to that decision. There are many ingredients needed to become a successful business. And the most powerful weapon to have is time. Continued on the next page.
What now? Continued When NDA first started it was a handful of talented people that were excited to help and take part in building something special. Overtime, responsibilities and other factors played its hands and I was left to push forward on my own. Which never upset me, I always look at the start of NDA as something special, something that I had to make successful for all of us. My family has sacrificed an unimaginable amount of time and money to see me build up and maintain NDA. And that time and money helped NDA reach goals, and surpassed all expectations. But NDA ended up sitting on a step for about a year without making the next level move. The next profitable move would stir up a bunch of problems I was not looking forward to dealing with. I had made many friends in the industry that would see this action as a sign of “toe stepping”. And I never want to be that guy, being that many of those “toes” were the direct reason for our success. So NDA got stuck in a rut. My alternative move would be to explore outside of MX, which we did and it was great, but still not enough to update equipment, buy hardrives, update computers, repair and maintain what we have. But regardless, we continued to push on and hoped for the best. Politics plays a huge role in all business. And Im not a very political person. I treated every person with absolute respect and appreciation. This has been the foundation of NDA from the beginning. I made it a point to meet and greet every photographer and videographer, every track owner, every flagger, anyone that was willing to spend a few seconds with me. I wanted people to call me by name. I represented a small company, but I worked very hard to deliver a big company experience. I tried my best to give respect, and admiration for everyone I worked with or along side. But politics can play a very serious role in the work made available to me. And Im just not able to represent NDA and make any decision that would put someone out due to political stances. I never wanted NDA to choose a “side “ NDA was about everyone. And I surely didnt want any decisions made to affect the riders I sponsored.
I kinda like everyone Ive worked with thus far. Ive fought this battle several times, and each time I feel it distance me from a friend. With a baby on the way, I had to make a very serious decision. If I were to fare this next wave of political problems I know that the business income of NDA would take a dive. I needed to find a steady and reliable source of income to prepare for our growing family. I never felt so close to success yet so far from it at the same time. What time I thought I had to grow is now gone. And NDA requires way too much time, too much sacrifice, and too much effort to keep going. The balancing act would be to great for me to handle on my own. So instead of carrying on giving my supporters half ass results...I closed it down. This also releases anyone associated with NDA from any future actions taken on my part alone. So what now? Now I pursue a different venture. I spend quality time with my family, and set a new path. NDA put my in a strange category that allowed for political friction and conflict of interest, which also affected those under its name. I no longer want this to be a problem. I will return to my roots of filming and photos, with friends and family. Im looking forward to starting a new outlet for my skill-set, theres no better feeling than making money doing what you love.... and if Im able to that, well, thats a success all its own.
TAMPA MX GALLERY 2014-2015
As anyone knows Tampa MX is the place we call home. It started before Tampa MX, when it was known as East Bay Motocross. This was the birth place of NDA Action Sports. We met so many great people from this track, and always looked forward to every trip out there. Matt and Vicki have always supported what we were about. Pam and Marty have delivered an incredible amount of support, far beyond anything expected. Mike Parisi (East Bay Motocross) always made us feel welcome, and supported our efforts till the day Mike Floyd and Ronnie Monk took over (Tampa MX) and has delivered the same awesome support. We’ve made so many friends because of this facility, and the moto community still amazes me to this day. The amount of passion and “brotherhood” found in this tight nit community has yet to be matched in my eyes.
I4MX GALLERY 2014-2015
In March 2014, Kenny Yoho approached me to do a small video to announce a new series that he was working on. I remember thinking, wow, this sounds very cool. Bringing his years of experience to the table would prove that he had a working formula to run a great series. I4MX is now in its second year without showing any signs of slowing down. The community that gathered behind Yoho is what makes this series such a success. A great family environment. Not without its flaws, but Yoho adjusts and improves with every race. The 2015 I4MX Winter Series will be starting soon. Hope to make it out there, and cheer on the racer and families Ive met.

Working with Randy Yoho has been awesome. Watching him organize and execute is amazing. But I guess that comes with 30+ years of experience. From day one Mr. Yoho has shown us great passion for his many ventures. Outside of the upfront events like the Dade City MX Championship, Mud Endeavor, and Partnered venture with his brother at Showtime Speedway, there are a million other things he is actively producing. We hold nothing but respect for him, and also feel privileged to call him a friend. Its not everyday you can surround yourself with such success.
