Looking back at the past can bring up a lot of great emotions, it can also resurface a few moments that make you cringe. This is all part of growing, from one outlook to another. Most of the projects hold fond memories, some even make me laugh. I just know that every click of the camera, every push of the record button has led me here. So good or bad, I look back and Im thankful for every bit of experience gathered along the way.
Rage 50 Riders 2003 It pretty much started off as just another day hanging out, messing around at the horse-shoe pits on Maui, Hawaii. A crew of friends messing around on modified 50cc Honda pitbikes. From there it turned into so much more. What made this video so special went beyond having a great group of people to shoot, but it would be my first published works. The DVD sold locally, you would find it at all the mx shops and even Walmart. Its kinda funny how something that started so innocent, has turned into a strong belief in myself and future plans. And I owe a great deal to these guys, and a close friend who helped me achieve this - Kilakila Kamau
Pacific Rush 2003-2005 Pacific Rush was never finished. It was the biggest project I had worked on to date. Putting together a video that had MX, ATV, BMX, Skate, Surf, M/C, Car Shows, Rodeo and more. It pushed every aspect of my abilities. But an event stop production and when we moved to California it would put an end to the project. I later released the video on youtube, as a thanks to everyone involved. I also sent DVDs to the athletes. It was one of the hardest things to deal with for a long time. It would take several years before I could bounce back.
I AM BAY
2009-2010
A slow rebound after the major set back from Pacific Rush, I found myself back into filming. This time I had a friend to share the experience. Chris Rose Bank, from San Francisco, California. And we set forward to scout talent and sharpen our skills. Having a passion for all action sports, we tried our best to capture it all. And working together was great. Nice to have someone there to help build a dream. But unfortunately it wouldnt last...I had to say goodbye to Chirs, and pass the flame to him. With the fall of the economy in 2008, my financial situation need a change. And we headed to Florida to find a better life for our family. My brother and wife helped out a great deal in this transition. And he would also be the person to shove me back into filming here in Florida.
East Bay Motocross 2012 I had gotten in to video game editing since reaching Florida, and was pretty happy doing videos for Vurbmoto gamers and my own page poidog808games. But my brother saw I needed a kick in the ass, and had to get me out there filming again. And thats just what happen. As soon as I stepped foot on the dirt at East Bay, I was re-energized to tackle yet another venture. Nacua Digital Arts would soon evolve into NDA Action Sports, as well as splinter to NDA Gaming (owned by my brother) NDA Portraits (run by my wife Chrystal) and NDigitalArts which was our commercial division . Mike, Matt and Vicki supported our efforts 100% Got to meet some great people like Cliff Radford, Pam, Marty and Dillon and made so many great friends. Riders Jack Sigismondi, Bodie Colangelo, Trey Lanier, Kyle Vibbert, Skyler and so many more. This also led to making friends with Chris Cousins which led me to the awesome Renner Family, Christian from Chronic MX, and Ben from FLA Pride which just exploded from there. This is why I say East Bay was the birth place of NDA.
