BACKGROUND

In September 2005 the board of directors of three northeast regional dairy supplier and vendor trade associations agreed to merge into the Northeast Dairy Suppliers Association, Inc., (NDSA). These three groups included: the Northeast Ice Cream Suppliers; New England Dairy Technology Society; The New York State Dairy Food Boosters, Inc. On November 8, 2005, in Albany, NY, the board members of each of these organizations met to formally adopt the new name of Northeast Dairy Suppliers Association, Inc., develop by-laws, mission statement, form committees and elect board members and executive officers. The management of the organization is administered by Ozzie Orsillo, Executive Vice President of Northeast Dairy Suppliers Association, Inc., located at 427 South Main Street, North Syracuse, NY, 13212-2863.

MISSION STATEMENT

Northeast Dairy Suppliers Association, Inc. is an organization dedicated to the growth and advancement of the dairy food industry through professional communication and interaction.

THE ASSOCIATION’S GOALS AND OBJECTIVES:

• To provide a professional atmosphere for members to network with those engaged in the business of the dairy food processing, manufacturing and distribution industries. • Support the advancement, development and dissemination of dairy technology and information. • Promote the recruitment of future leaders and provide support for students and educational institutions that have interests in the dairy food industry. • Enhance the well-being of the dairy food industry to increase sales and consumption.

Networking industry functions sponsored by NDSA each year include:

• Spring Dairy Blender – TBD. • Dairy Industry Clambake – July 13, 2022, at The Spinning Wheel Event Center, North Syracuse, NY • Annual Fall Dairy Plant Tour – Still to be determined. • Annual Northeast Dairy Convention – August 17-19, 2022 at The Landing at Rivers Casino
