GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS Recipients of federal, state or NDSCS-sponsored aid must be working toward a degree or certificate in an eligible program. Most federal aid programs require at least half-time active enrollment.

FREE APPLICATION FOR FEDERAL STUDENT AID (FAFSA) Determine if you qualify for grants, federal loans and work-study. Starting October 1, apply at www.fafsa.ed.gov and enter the NDSCS code 002996.

SUBMIT OFFICIAL HIGH SCHOOL TRANSCRIPT OR GED An in-progress transcript must be submitted to make an admission decision. An official high school transcript with final grades and a graduation date is required upon completion of high school.

SUBMIT OFFICIAL COLLEGE TRANSCRIPT(S) Transfer students, and students taking course work at colleges or universities while enrolled in high school, must submit official in-progress transcripts. Final college transcripts must be submitted once all course work is completed.

SUBMIT TEST SCORES Approved exams include the ACT, SAT and ACCUPLACER. For more information, including the required entrance scores for your selected program, visit NDSCS.EDU/REQUIREMENTS.

APPLICATION DEADLINE NDSCS doesn’t have an application deadline, but some programs do fill up quickly. The sooner you submit your application, the better your chances are for getting into your program of choice.
