Ein mobiles Gerät wird auseinandergenommen und die einzelnen Komponenten werden mit Kabeln verlängert. Diese werden wiederum in Betonsockeln verankert. Dadurch wird die Mobilität des Gerätes massiv eingeschränkt oder sogar unmöglich gemacht – der Zugriff auf mobile Information wird gestoppt, der Datenfluss jedoch nicht unterbunden.
Eight flags on the wall, showing different ways to go, yet they form a group. The work shows how nations who stand united take different paths to go forward. The installation preseints a common governmental situation that is around us.

CROSSWALKS Felix Dennhardt video installation Ein seltsamer Effekt der Großstadt ist, dass trotz der großen Menge Menschen auf kleinem Raum, eine Gegenreaktion in der Wahrnehmung auftritt. Die vielen Begegnungen, die scheinbar ständig stattfinden sind bedeutungslos. Dabei dient die Anonymität als Schutzorgan gegen die Einsamkeit. Sobald wir unseren Wohlfühl-Ort verlassen, kapseln wir uns ab, bewegen uns durch die Stadt wie Maschinen, scheinbar fremdgesteuert getrieben von den Pflichten unseres Alltags. Die Architektur ist das Regelwerk dieses städtischen Zusammenlebens. Dazu gehört Der Crosswalk als “begegnungs-freier“ Ort.

SCREENING CITY’ Robert Gruber videoobjekt Was macht eine Stadt aus? Die Gebäude, die Infrastruktur, die Menschen, die Natur? In Screening City werden verschiedene Bereiche des Lebens in einer Stadt anhand eines Videos dargestellt. Das Video ist aber nicht im vollem Umfang sichtbar, sondern nur kleine Bereiche, die der/die BetrachterIn selber erkunden muss. Dadurch soll der Blick auf unterschiedliche Szenen des urbanen Lebens gelenkt werden.
QUEER -PROPAGANDA-TV Nikita Zhukovskiy video object The Soviet DDR export TV-Set Telestar 4040 tuned into a pirate queer signal, translating quotes by various gender and queer studies theorists. Referring to the notion of (gay) propaganda and television as its medium, this work explores the process of text transformation as theory is transmitted through layers of digital analogue and analogue to digital conversion, while glitch distortion refers to the censorship and misunderstanding. DISASTER / BAD STAR Laurus Edelbacher game / video installation, unity & remixed videos A collapsed virtual world ->3D planets collected, remixed and glitched found footage material from human made disasters. The root of the works title disaster comes from the ancient greek it means “bad star” in astrological sense of accidents blamed on the position of planets. Gravitation is relentless, get dragged into dirty renderings made on broken systems and unstable grounds. gl&hf. Trapped like a prehistoric insect in amber — nationalism, ignorance, white supremacy, altright, racial prejudice, sexist mindset and ultra conservative ideas are relicts of the past. It’s a paradox of tolerance, but they should be excluded from our present to save our future. They have no place in our society, they should not be mediated now. Yet they are here, preserved and toxic. Manifesting through hate speech, linguistic constructs, like viruses, infiltrate our mind, create the narrative that affects us all. No tolerance for intolerance. Concentrate and listen!

Braucht es frei nach Virginia Woolf “A Monitor of One’s Own“, um so unabhängig zu werden, dass man die (Medien)kunst Community stärken und verteidigen kann?
