What is the goal of the RoHS guidelines? The goal of the RoHS guidelines is to improve the environmental performance of a product in every stage of its lifecycle. Some materials that are used in electronics can be an environmental and public health hazard during the production or the breakdown of products. The european Union has taken measures to reduce the use of these materials. RoHS stands for Restriction of Hazardous Substances and is meant for restricting the use of the following 6 substances: 1. lead (Pb) 2. Mercury (Hg) 3. Cadmium (Cd) 4. Hexavalent chromium (Cr6+) 5. Polybrominated biphenyls (PBB)* 6. Polybrominated diphenyl ether (PBDe)*

More than 1,200 of the world’s largest consumer electronics, computer and mobile device manufacturers incorporate HDMi™ connectivity into their products.

HDMi™ has been developed through the last years on speed and functionality. The Valueline concept offers the High Speed HDMi™ cable with ethernet, which is backward compatible with al previous versions. This cable type is designed and tested to handle video resolutions of 1080p and beyond, including advanced display technologies such as 4K, 3D, and Deep Colour. The HDMi™ ethernet Channel functionality is only available if both linked devices are HDMi™ ethernet Channel enabled.
