Internships guidance
When you are creating the intership role the following elements should be included: • Full time work to be undertaken during the summer holiday (between June and early September). We suggest for a a minimum of eight weeks • A defined project, which creates real tangible impact for your organisation, and a valuable learning experience for the student • Interaction with an assigned supervisor or mentor within your organisation • The intern will be working at registered office space (co-working environments are suitable) • The internship must be paid, offering a salary in line with your country’s National Minimum Wage, or the UK rate if none exists. We encourage hosting organisations to support interns financially with accommodation and international travel

King’s is passionate about connecting students with employers on a global scale, and we have developed an award-winning model* that allows you to bring talented and productive students into your workplace with ease and efficiency.
The Global Internships Programme: Free of charge: It’s a free of charge service for employers to access motivated and ambitious students Start dates: Internship start dates are flexible, but we recommend anytime between the first week of June and the first week of July, lasting 2-3 months in total Large talent pool: A large talent pool of undergraduate and postgraduate students, with a wide range of skills and language abilities Globally aware team: A globally aware team, who are focused on your hiring needs and familiar with your culture and recruitment market Point of contact: A dedicated member of our King’s team who will be your point of contact throughout the process Application management: Screening and shortlisting service for all potential candidates Promotion: Promotion of your internship by our marketing team to a target audience Support for students: Comprehensive support and guidance for students in advance of their departure, ensuring they are sufficiently equipped for their internship overseas *King’s won the 2017 AGCAS (The Association of Graduate Careers Advisory Services) Award for Internationalisation

Selection Process
ur selection process works in two stages. Firstly, to assist in the shortlisting O process, you will define your selection criteria through close collaboration, taking your business needs into consideration. Our team will then shortlist applications against the criteria you have provided and pass the strongest candidates on to you to interview and offer. King’s will help you establish an internship profile, to ensure the opportunity best meets your business needs.
The vacancy will be advertised across King’s, ensuring maximum exposure for your organisation to our internationally minded cohort.
Supervision & Mentoring Interns should be provided with access to regular support as a way to maintain productivity and ensure quality output.
Certification & Feedback Complete an exit interview with the student to ensure you and the student are able to critically reflect on the internship experience.
